The Industrial PP-like resin from Harz Labs is an advanced engineering material specifically designed for high-impact strength and precision in 3D printing applications. This resin boasts mechanical properties that closely mimic injection-molded polypropylene, allowing for the creation of resilient and durable prototypes and functional models such as housings, latches, and similar components.
Key features of this resin include low shrinkage (less than 0.5 %) and excellent dimensional accuracy, ensuring that printed models retain the exact size as designed in digital form and remain unchanged after post-curing. The resin is highly stable, with no sedimentation or gel formation occurring in the vat, eliminating the need for mixing. Additionally, it is odorless, causes no irritation, and contains no volatile monomers, making it safe for use with natural ventilation even in small workshops.
In terms of mechanical properties, the resin offers a balance between rigidity (more rigid than the Industrial Nylon-Like resin) and flexibility (more flexible than the Industrial ABS resin). It exhibits high hardness and tensile strength, with an elongation at break of approximately 40%, a tensile strength of around 35 MPa, and a tensile modulus of about 500 MPa. It also features a Shore hardness of approximately 73 D. This combination of properties makes the Industrial PP-like resin an excellent choice for engineering projects that require both strength and flexibility.
The Industrial PP-like resin by Harz Labs is compatible with a wide range of LCD/DLP resin 3D printers, for example the Creality Halot Mage printer, the Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra printer, the Phrozen Sonic XL 4K PLUS printer or the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s printer. The full list of compatible resin 3D printers can be consulted on the manufacturer's website.

The print settings for the Industrial PP-like resin can be found on the manufacturer's website. Once the printing has been completed, the part must be removed from the manufacturing platform with a metal spatula, taking care not to damage the surface of the platform. The part should then be washed twice (3 minutes each time) in IPA alcohol to remove the uncured resin from the outer walls of the part. After this time, air pressure should be applied to the piece until it is completely dry. To achieve the maximum properties that HARZ Industrial PP-Like can provide, it is necessary to cure the part in a curing station (Form Cure) for 30 minutes. Washing and curing parameters can be found on the Harz Labs website.
Before removing the parts from the manufacturing base, the user must be equipped with a series of safety measures. The use of gloves is recommended to prevent resin and alcohol from contacting the skin. It is also crucial to wear safety glasses for any drops that may arise during the washing of the parts.
