Tarfuse POM NAT is 3D printing material developed and manufactured by Grupa Azoty. POM NAT belogs to their portfolio of technical filaments for advanced applications. The POM NAT filament is a polyacetal copolymer material (also known as polyoxymethylene, acetal or polyformaldehyde) characterized by high mechanical strength and excellent tribological parameters. This filament was specially designed for the additive manufacturing of functional technical parts that are required to work in high friction environments (parts up to 100 mm).
Parts 3D printed with the Tarfuse POM NAT filament exhibit a wide range of outstanding mechanical properties: negligible change in impact toughness in the temperature range -40 ºC to 110 ºC, exceptional mechanical strength and stiffness, high resistance to fatigue, and excellent dimensional stability. Furthermore, POM NAT offers elevated chemical resistance to most organic solvents, bases and acids up to pH> 4, high resistance to water, bacteria, fungi and insects. This filament is also user-friendly and safe to use since it does not emit toxic gases during the 3D printing process.

The spool should be stored properly to avoid potential printing and part quality issues. It is recommended to store the spool in a tightly sealed plastic bag with a desiccant or in an intelligent filament container. In case the filament absorbs moisture, it should be dried for 4-6 hours at 140 ºC.
This material should be printed at a temperature of 210-240 °C on a bed heated to 100-130 °C. The recommended chamber temperature is 70-140 ºC and the optimum printing speed is 10-30 mm/s. The recommended bed material is PI with Dimafix or a cellulose mat (paper, wood, cork) with PVA adhesive.
