The history of Grupa Azoty

Grupa Azoty was established in 1927 in Poland by Ignacy Moscicki, the then president of Poland. At the time of its creation, Grupa Azoty was one of the most modern factories in Europe. Since then the company has been expanding as a result of numerous consolidations and currently it holds a high position among not only European but also global players in the chemical industry. Grupa Azoty is recognised as one of the strategic companies for the Polish economy.

Innovating the industry

The area of expertise of Grupa Azoty includes a very wide range of chemicals (OXO products, urea, melamine, sulphur), mineral fertilizers, pigments, as well as engineering plastics, especially plasticisers and polyamide 6. In many of those areas, Grupa Azoty is a leading force on the national, European and even global scale. In 2009 the company was listed in the RESPECT Index on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, a project that highlights companies that are managed responsibly and sustainably in terms of finances, strategies, principles, environmental impact, employment policies, and market influence.

Grupa Azoty designs and manufactures quality materials for FDM 3D printing, namely the Tarfuse filaments. Within this catalog of products, Grupa Azoty offers many filament lines developed for various applications in a variety of sectors: standard, engineering, advanced, as well as environmentally-friendly materials.
