More information Gestionar cookiesThis silicon carbide FFF filament is 71% by mass loaded with fine silicon carbide (SiC) particles and is capable of creating 100% ceramic parts after thermal sintering.
This ceramic filament withstands temperatures up to 2200 °C and is compatible with most caseless FFF 3D printers.
Silicon carbide is a material that stands out for its hardness, being almost as hard as diamond, reaching hardnesses on the Mohs scale of 9 to 9.5. In addition, it is a semiconductor and refractory material that has many advantages for use in devices that involve working under extreme conditions of temperature, voltage and frequency.
The advantages of the Cr Sic filament include:
Thanks to its properties, Silicon Carbide filament can be very useful for the manufacture of diodes, transistors, suppressors, etc. In addition, due to its high temperature resistance, silicon carbide is also ideal for abrasive and refractory applications.
Storage
It is recommended to store the CR SiC filament in a dry and dark place, if possible with a desiccant.
To ensure good printing conditions, dehydrate Nanovia Cr SiC at 60°c for 4 hours or more, when the spools have been exposed to humidity for a prolonged period.
Post-treatment
Grinding, polishing, threading, drilling, boring, machining, etc. of the workpieces is possible as shown in the video:
Sintering
Sintering is carried out in two consecutive stages:
