The flexible 3D printing resin FLX-300 offers exceptional elasticity, compressibility, and dimensional accuracy, making it an ideal material for MSLA and DLP 3D printers. This high-quality liquid elastomer, developed by AmeraLabs, is designed for gaskets, shock absorbers, soft robotics components, and customized parts that require repeated deformation without losing shape. Its low compression set and excellent dimensional stability ensure long-term functionality and performance, even in demanding or humid environments.

Outstanding elasticity and shape recovery

FLX-300 combines silicone-like softness with controlled compressibility thanks to its Shore A 44 hardness and very low 1.7% compression set, ensuring printed parts recover their original shape after each compression. This makes it an excellent choice for sealing gaskets, shock-absorbing parts, soft robotics grippers, and ergonomic components. Its low water absorption (0.79%) provides dimensional stability in humid conditions, preventing deformation and ensuring precise and consistent sealing.

Compatible with MSLA and DLP 3D printers

FLX-300 works with a wide range of resin 3D printers, including LCD printers such as Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K, Elegoo Saturn, and Anycubic M5, as well as DLP systems like Asiga, Elegoo Mars 4, and Anycubic Photon D2. Its optimized post-curing behavior produces smooth, non-tacky surfaces ready for immediate use. Printed parts can also be cut and modified easily, allowing excellent versatility.

Dimensional precision and long-term durability

The FLX-300 elastomer resin provides accurate dimensions and long-lasting stability with minimal shrinkage after post-curing. This ensures that printed parts maintain their shape and functionality through multiple compression cycles. Its combination of flexibility, surface resistance, and mechanical stability makes it ideal for industrial applications, engineering prototypes, and functional manufacturing.

Superior resistance to moisture and wear

Thanks to its extremely low water absorption, FLX-300 remains reliable in sealing applications and parts exposed to humidity or vibration. Its compression-wear resistance ensures that flexible and shock-absorbing 3D components maintain consistent performance, delivering precision and reliability for engineering, robotics, and additive manufacturing projects.

FLX-300 is the ultimate choice among flexible 3D printing resins, offering high elasticity, perfect shape recovery, and a smooth silicone-like finish. Ideal for 3D printing professionals, engineers, industrial designers, and advanced makers, this resin enables the production of durable, high-performance functional parts optimized for industrial applications and advanced prototyping.

Printing Tips

To print correctly with AmeraLabs FLX-300 flexible resin, it is recommended to heat the material to at least 25 °C before starting, so it flows more easily during the process. The printing build plate must be properly leveled, and when using this resin for the first time, it is advisable to print a small test part first. Basic settings can be checked on the official settings page from AmeraLabs.

Regarding supports, the best results are obtained with columns between 1.5 and 2 mm thick and tips between 0.4 and 0.5 mm. It is preferable to keep support spacing small, around 2 mm, and to avoid “tree-style” supports, reinforcing columns with cross-bracing. It is recommended to use rafts with a thickness corresponding to the sum of bottom and transition layers.

During the movement of the Z-axis, this resin requires slow lift speeds: about 45 mm/min for bottom layers and between 45 and 75 mm/min for other layers. It is also recommended to add relatively long waiting times before curing, between 2 and 10 seconds, especially for hollow models or large printers. It is important to note that FLX-300 should not be used with PDMS-based resin vats; it is better to use fluoropolymer films such as FEP, PFA or ACF.

Cleaning

FLX-300 is a high-viscosity resin, so it is recommended to remove supports before washing the printed object to allow the isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to reach all surfaces. In a washing station, submerge the part in IPA for a maximum of 15 minutes and let it air dry; washing and drying can be repeated as necessary to remove material from holes, cavities, or lattice structures. Do not leave parts submerged for more than 30 minutes, as this could alter the polymer properties. If using an ultrasonic cleaner, place the part in a sealed container with IPA and then place the container in the water tank for about 5 minutes (no more than 15 minutes); heating is not necessary. After cleaning, let the parts dry for at least 30 minutes before post-curing.

Post-curing

It is easier to remove supports before post-curing, although post-curing with supports attached is also possible if more accurate geometry is desired. The post-curing time depends on the equipment and usually ranges from 15 minutes to 1 hour, until the surface is no longer sticky. To improve curing speed and uniformity, vacuum or inert gas environments can be used to reduce oxygen inhibition. Post-curing should be performed immediately after drying; once properly cured, FLX-300 parts should present a non-sticky surface while maintaining their softness and elastic compression properties.

Note: these guidelines are general best practices based on known specifications of FLX-300. Adjust parameters according to your printer, part size, and environmental conditions.
