Ultrasonic cleaner

Ultrasonic cleaning is a fast and efficient cleaning process. It consists of the agitation of particles by means of ultrasound. This cleaning method is one of the most modern and effective methods for removing dirt particles from the surfaces of parts. 

To do this, the parts must be immersed in the tank. Ultrasound produces vibrations, which generate thousands of bubbles that undergo expansion and collapse processes, transmitting their energy to other materials. This phenomenon is called cavitation. Thanks to this process, the ultrasonic cleaner separates the dirt particles from the surface of the parts.

Zortrax has developed an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning resin printed parts on the Zortrax Inkspire 3D printer.

The Zortrax ultrasonic cleaner has a volume of 240 x 135 x 100 mm and a capacity of 3.2 litres. It is made of stainless steel and can be programmed from 0 to 30 min.

Thanks to the Zortrax ultrasonic cleaner, excess resin can be removed from 3D printed models with Zortrax Inkspire, ensuring the best surface quality of parts printed with this 3D printer.
