Phrozen expands its resin range with the addition of the EL400, a high-performance elastomeric resin that can bend more than 60,000 times, with a break elongation of 391%. This resin allows the creation of functional or heavy-duty parts, with rubber-like properties, outstanding for its excellent finish and great durability. The EL400 resin is three times more tear-resistant than other resins and offers a superior rebound ability, perfectly recovering its original shape after undergoing deformation.

The EL400 is developed for applications subjected to demanding and prolonged use, that bear weight and are expected to have long-term usage, such as bicycle seats or shoe insoles. Its high flexibility and tear resistance ensure that the prints maintain their properties.

Models printed with the EL400 resin withstand over 60,000 cycles at 23°C with a tear resistance of 39.1kN/m and have an ultra-high break elongation of 391%. This opens new opportunities for creating innovative designs.

The EL400 elastomeric resin can be used in industrial applications due to its solid performance and ability to meet the requirements for component production. Its resistance to high stresses and chemical properties make it a powerful alternative to materials like foam or thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), offering greater durability and reliability in demanding environments.

The EL400 resin withstands tensile forces greater than many conventional resins and is a robust solution for manufacturing functional or heavy-duty parts. This resin offers a unique combination of strength, flexibility, and durability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in both home and industrial settings. It is compatible with Sonic Mini 8K, Sonic Mighty, and Sonic Mega 3D printers.

It is recommended to print models directly on the print bed to minimize deformation.

If the space between supports or inside the structure of the model is too small, the resin may solidify inside the gaps.

Soaking in glycerin can help improve the structural integrity of soft materials and reduce stickiness on post-cured object surfaces.

After curing, the object should be thoroughly cleaned immediately. Avoid immersing models in any liquid (including alcohol, glycerin, and water) for extended periods (>60 minutes) to prevent liquid absorption that could cause expansion and deformation.

Thermal post-curing can help improve the mechanical properties of the material, especially tensile and tear resistance, but may reduce ductility.
