The Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament, part of the Hyper Core line from Raise3D, represents an advanced evolution in fiber-reinforced composite materials specifically engineered for Hyper FFF technology. This next-generation filament is tailored to meet the rigorous demands of professional and industrial applications where exceptional strength, stiffness, and heat resistance are required. The Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament is available in 1 kg and 2.5 kg spools, with the latter offering advantages for uninterrupted batch printing and simplified operation. It should be kept in mind that the 2.5 kg filament should not be taken out of its original packaging. Please consult the user manual for this filament format available in the Downloads section.

By integrating a specialized extrusion process, the Hyper Core ABS CF15 achieves a unique fiber-rich core that enhances the alignment and distribution of carbon fibers, addressing common challenges associated with high-speed printing, such as reduced flowability and diminished interlayer bonding. Raise3D's innovative approach ensures that during high-speed FFF printing, the carbon fiber core's superior heat conductivity accelerates the melting of the filament within the hot end.

The result is a filament that offers a smooth finish with robust part strength, balancing rapid melting rates with high performance and cost efficiency. This filament is designed to meet the needs of high-speed, high-quality printing while addressing the challenges of nozzle wear and print consistency.

Hyper Core ABS CF15 retains the exceptional impact toughness, chemical resistance, and low moisture absorption of its terpolymer ABS matrix. Its engineered fiber distribution further improves Z-direction strength and stiffness, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications. The filament supports a range of printing and post-processing benefits, including warp-free parts and compatibility with various nozzle sizes.

Applications

Designed to unleash its full potential, the Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament is tailored for use with 3D printers from the Raise3D Pro3 series equipped with the Hyper Speed Upgrade Kit, the Pro3 HS and Pro3 Plus HS 3D printers, as well as the RMF500 industrial 3D printer. Leveraging the capabilities of ideaMaker Version 5.0.5 is essential for achieving optimal results with this material. The versatility of the Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament opens up a myriad of applications across industries, including automotive, aerospace, manufacturing aids, jigs & fixtures, functional parts, and the electrical and electronics (E&E) sector.

Storage

It is recommended to store the 2.5 kg Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament in its original vacuum sealed packaging even during use since it was designed that way. As far as the 1 kg spools, it is best to store the filament in vacuum sealed bags or special containers. By placing the Slice Engineering filament drying capsule inside the spool, even better results can be achieved. In case the filament absorbs too much moisture, it is recommended to dry it for 6 to 8 hours at a temperature of 60-70 °C in a professional filament dryer and store it in the Raise3D Dry Box or the Raise3D filament box during printing.

Printing

Carbon fibre reinforced filaments are very abrasive. This means that the nozzle is at a much higher risk of wear than with non-reinforced filaments. The user must ensure to use an abrasion resistant nozzle such as  the hardened steel nozzle from Raise3D, with a diameter of at least 0.4 mm. The recommended support material for the Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament is the Raise3D Industrial PET Support.
