Filkemp holds a global leading position in the production of PETnylons and various combinations of special polymers and copolymers. The PA0 filament belongs to Filkemp's portfolio of technical filaments for specialized uses and is ideal for the purposes of industrial modeling and prototyping

This Filkemp nylon is a unique material since it is a low temperature PA developed to be extruded at 230 °C with rapid cooling. It uses the Filkemp Exclusive Lubricity Technology which allows for easy printing with no stoppages. In comparison with standard nylons available on the market, the Filkemp PA0 warps much less and is characterized by very low moisture absorption.

Another feature that makes the Filkemp nylon easy to use is that it extrudes odor-free and does not require predrying thanks to its low moisture absorption. This guarantees smooth extrusion and high quality parts. Apart from these features, the Filkemp PA0 filament is semi-flexible, durable and exhibits great impact resistance with high thermal durability. The 3D printed parts resemble those produced by Injection Molding.

The Filkemp PLN filament should be extruded at a temperature of 200-215 ºC, on a bed heated to 40-60 ºC. The recommended layer fan settings is 0-50 %, and in order to boost adhesion of the part to the printing bed, 3DLac Stick or Magigoo can be used.

All Filkemp filaments are supplied in vacuum-sealed packaging containing a desiccant bag. Once removed from the original packaging, the PLN filament should be stored properly in order to protect the material from humidity, and ensure its longevity and successful prints. A vacuum sealed bag with a filament drying capsule inside the spool is a good storage solution. The PLN can also be stored in an intelligent filament container before and after printing, and in a filament drying case during printing.

Parts 3D printed with the Filkemp PLN filament can be subjected to post-annealing in order to improve their thermomechanical properties (for example, increase the melting point to 180 ºC). The post-annealing can be done in two ways: by placing the part in boiling water for 15 minutes or by placing the part in an oven for the same amount of time at 100 ºC.
