With the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filamentPolymaker breaks the boundaries to fast 3D printing with flexible filaments. This industrial range TPU stands out due to its high flow properties and a melt index even higher than that of PLA. This means that the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament is as easy to print as PLA, without stringing, oozing, bubbles, jams or distortions, even with high retraction speeds.

Parts 3D printed with the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament are strong but flexible, have a resilient rubber consistency and excellent layer adhesion. This allows for the manufacturing of parts with proper fittings for precise industrial applications.

An even more astonishing feature of this filament is that it can also be printed on Bowden extrusion systems, which is quite uncommon for flexible filaments. Nevertheless, with higher printing speeds Polymaker recommends using direct extrusion. The carefully engineered Shore hardness of this filament prevents it from stretching excessively when pulled by the extruder. This helps avoid underextrusion even at high speeds of up to 100 mm/s, a threshold so far unachievable for flexible filaments.

Furthermore, PolyFlex TPU95 HF is characterized by low viscosity at low temperatures. This means that, unlike similar TPUs on the market, PolyFlex TPU95 HF does not require high temperature for high speed printing. This leads to a better cooling rate and better surface quality of the 3D printed parts.

Another very valuable feature of the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament is that it is UV-resistant, which together with its excellent printability, flexibility and great mechanical properties unlocks new applications for flexible materials in manufacturing.

Parts 3D printed with this high-flow PolyFlex TPU95 can be used outdoors without the risk of crumbling, weakening or discoloration. To determinte the UV resistance of this material, samples underwent accelerated weathering tests for a period of 72 hours, which simulates several months or even years of real-life exposure to UV radiation and the elements. Parts printed with the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filamanet showed no percepible color difference.

With such a combination of features, the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament is perfect to accelerate the industrial 3D printing workflow with flexible filaments. Since it eliminates the necessity to use slow printing speeds, PolyFlex TPU95 HF allows for much quicker and smoother printing of resistant and flexible parts with excellent surface finish. Some example applications are seals, plugs, gaskets and blades, as well as various flexible consumer goods, footwear or elements of sports equipment.

The PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament is delivered in a vacuum sealed bag with desiccant. Once opened, the filament should be stored properly to prevent it from absorbing moisture from the air. The best way to store filaments in a tightly sealed bag with desiccant, in a vacuum sealed container or in an intelligent filament container. During printing, the filament can be placed in PolyBox. If the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament absorbs humidity, it should be dried before printing at 70 ºC for 8 hours in a filament dryer.

The manufacturer recommends printing PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament at 200-220 ºC on a bed heated to 25-50 ºC. It is recommended to print at a speed of 40-100 mm/s with the layer fan on. The best build surface for this filament is a glass surface with glue, Blue Tape or BuildTak. The recommended suppport material for PolyFlex TPU95 HF is PolyDissolve S1 or PolyFlex TPU95 HF itself.

It is highly recommended to wear standard safety equipment during the printing and post-processing of parts 3D printed with the PolyFlex TPU95 HF filament - safety goggles, gloves, breathing equipment and protective garments, according to needs.
