This PLA Rainbow filament by Rosa3D is characterized by ease of printing, lack of odor, great interlayer adhesion, low shrinkage, and great detail reproduction. It is a unique PLA option that contains a seamless transition of multiple colors in each spool. Designed for those who appreciate the individuality of 3D prints, Rosa3D's PLA Rainbow filament allows users to incorporate as many colors as desired into their models, depending on chosen printing parameters such as size and infill density.
This product promises a one-of-a-kind aesthetic for 3D printing enthusiasts seeking to add a touch of uniqueness to their creations such as interior design objects, sculptures, toys, figurines, and various gadgets. It must be kept in mind that each individual spool of this filament might initiate with a different color from the included range, and variances in shades are acceptable.
Founded in 2018, Rosa3D is a leading Polish manufacturer of 3D printing filament, specializing in delivering top-tier quality for industrial, technical, large-format, and domestic applications. With ISO 9001:2015 certification, their experienced team and advanced machinery ensure meticulous control over material quality and production precision, boasting a monthly capacity of 70 tons. Beyond excellence in filament production, Rosa3D is committed to sustainability, adhering to ISO 14001:2015 principles.
PLA (Polylactic Acid) stands as a versatile and widely used material in 3D printing thanks to its low warping tendencies, great adhesion, low printing temperatures, vibrant color options and odor-free extrusion. Another benefit offered by PLA is its versatility in terms of surface finish. One of the many attractive surface finish of PLA is the silky finish achieved through the incorporation of additives or special processing techniques during the manufacturing process, resulting in a smooth and glossy surface finish of the 3D printed parts.
The eco-friendly refill format significantly reduces plastic usage and contributes to paving a way for sustainable 3D printing. In order to use this PLA Rainbow with a 3D printer, the filament must be wound onto the Rosa3D Masterspool, a smart solution designed specially for the Rosa3D filaments in refill format. This reusable masterspool is made of recycled PC and has an approximately 90 % lower CO2 carbon footprint compared to a standard plastic spool. The masterspool is also resistant to impact and heat, which makes it compatible with filament dryers, as well as AMS systems. Alternatively, solutions such as the F2P variable spool holder can be used.

The recommended printing temperature for the PLA Rainbow filament ranges between 195-225 ºC, and the best bed temperature is 40-60 ºC. The recommended part cooling fan setting is 50-100 %.
Proper storage of the PLA Rainbow filament is essential, as processing damp filament can lead to polymer chain degradation, fragility, poor layer adhesion, stringing, and oozing. It's best to store the filament in a sealed bag with desiccant or in a vacuum-sealed filament container.
Should the filament absorb excess humidity, it should be dried in a filament dryer for 4 hours at 50 ºC.
