Alongside the PP3D filament, the high flow industrial-grade PP GF filament is another polypropylene material in the Recreus portfolio, designed especially for FFF and FGF 3D printing. PP GF is a specialized polypropylene compound reinforced with glass fibers. This combination gives PP GF the flexibility of polypropylene and the robustness of fibreglass, resulting in durable, high quality prints with excellent mechanical and flexural strength, great impact strength across temperatures, low density, and high wear and tear resistance.
Apart from those properties, the Recreus PP GF stands out thanks to its specialized properties such as chemical and thermal resistance, UV resistance, resistance to humidity and corrosion, waterproofing and insulating properties, as well as recyclability.
The Recreus PP GF filament is very easy to print since it exhibits low to no warping and no stringing. It demonstrates great interlayer adhesion and adheres well to the build plate. The finish of the 3D printed parts is matte with almost imperceptible layer lines.
PP GF's resistance to harsh environments makes it an ideal material for a wide variety of applications where the main requirement for the part is excellent mechanical strength together with ease of processing and stability of the constructed part. Such applications include:
These are just a few examples of the many applications of the Recreus PP GF filament. It offers many advantages over standard PP GF materials and is perfect for the 3D printing of not only functional prototypes or tooling but also for end-use applications in harsh environments.

The Recreus PP GF filament should be stored in a dry environment at temperatures under 60 ºC. Proper storage will ensure that the filament does not degrade, extrudes properly and produces parts with correct thermomechanical properties. Before printing, the filament should be stored in a sealed bag with desiccant, in a vacuum sealed filament container or an intelligent filament container. During printing, the spool can be placed in a filament drying case.
Since the Recreus PP GF filament contains glass fibers, using a standard nozzle will lead to its excessive wear and a decrease in print quality. This is why the manufacturer recommends using a minimal nozzle diameter of 0.4-0.6 mm. The best kind of nozzle for fiber reinforced filaments is a hardened steel nozzle, a tungsten carbide nozzle or a Ruby nozzle. The recommended layer height for this filament is 0.2 mm and the best retraction parameter is 2-3 mm at a speed of 25-50 mm/s.
