IMPORTANT: Polymaker's PolyLite Starlight range has been transformed into Panchroma. The quality and colours remain identical, only the brand and packaging have changed. During this transition, you may receive either the new Panchroma packaging or the previous PolyLite one.

The PLA Starlight filament from the Panchroma collection offers a truly unique sparkling effect that changes depending on the angle and light intensity, adding depth and intrigue to every print. This captivating effect is achieved through the incorporation of very fine, non-abrasive glitter powder. The powder is finely dispersed, ensuring no risk of clogging a 0.4 mm nozzle, and works well even with smaller diameters such as 0.2 mm, making it a versatile option for detailed, high-quality prints.

In addition to the traditional spool format, PLA Starlight is also available as a ReFill (spoolless) version, a sustainable alternative that allows users to reuse Polymaker spools or use a 3D-printed spool. Users can freely download and print their own Polymaker Master Spool, reducing plastic use and waste without compromising quality or compatibility.

Possibility to print a reusable spool for ReFill formats

Polymaker spools are compatible with advanced multimaterial systems, ensuring perfect and hassle-free integration with printers using these systems.

As part of the Panchroma range, PLA Starlight is designed to offer both aesthetic shine and reliability in printability. The Panchroma catalog is composed of advanced polymer compounds based on PLA, specifically developed for superior aesthetics and optimal print performance. Each formulation is precisely tuned for individual colours and surface finishes, ensuring the best possible results in both visual appeal and printing performance.

Printing with PLA Starlight is simple and efficient, with a recommended extrusion temperature between 190-230 ºC, a bed temperature of 25-60 ºC, and a recommended speed of 40-60 mm/s. Whether in traditional spool format or ReFill with reusable spool, the spool features a non-slip edge, ensuring smooth handling and compatibility with automated material systems such as Bambu Lab AMS, providing a reliable and adaptable option for a wide variety of 3D printing projects.

Note for Bambu Lab users

All products include printing profiles optimized for BambuStudio, Bambu Lab’s dedicated software. Since many Bambu Lab users are new to 3D printing, pre-configured settings are provided to ensure high-quality results from the very first use, with no previous experience required. This allows both beginners and experts to fully benefit from the capabilities of Polymaker filaments with complete confidence.

Like any 3D printing filament, the Panchroma PLA filaments should be stored properly in order to avoid their deterioration and, in consequence, extrusion problems and inferior print quality. The spool can be stored in an airtight plastic bag, in a resealable bag with a desiccant capsule, or in a smart filament container. If the filament has absorbed too much moisture, it must be dried before printing in a filament dryer for 6 hours at 55 ºC or in the PolyDryer solution. The recommended settings are setting 1 for Panchroma PLA Silk and others, and settings 1-3 for PLA Matte and Satin.

The Panchroma PLA filaments should be extruded at a temperature of 190-230 ºC on a bed heated to 25-60 ºC. It is recommended to use the cooling fan at 100% but a printer with a heated chamber is not needed. As far as the printing speed, it is recommended to use max. 200 mm/s for the PLA Silk and other Panchroma PLA varieties, max. 300 mm/s for the PLA Satin and Matte PLA, and max. 400 mm/s for CoPE.

Complex parts can be 3D printed with the Panchroma PLA filaments with the help of support filaments such as the PolySupport filament or the PolyDissolve S1 filament.

Panchroma PLA Glow and Panchroma PLA Luminous are glow-in-the-dark materials enriched with an abrasive additive, making a hardened nozzle essential for printing. These filaments should not be used in AMS systems with plastic gears or tubes due to their abrasive nature.

Extra Tools to Enhance the Printing Experience

To further facilitate the 3D printing experience, support tools such as app.polymaker.com, an interactive comparison tool for mechanical, technical, and color properties among different filaments, and wiki.polymaker.com, a quick and comprehensive guide on using our products and 3D printing recommendations, can be utilized.
