PolyDryer Box

Keeping 3D printing filament dry is crucial to ensure high-quality prints. Moisture absorption can lead to uneven extrusion, nozzle clogs, and poor layer adhesion, resulting in subpar prints. Properly storing filament in specialized containers with desiccants helps maintain material integrity and printing performance.

The PolyDryer Box by Polymaker is a versatile filament drying and storage solution that has been created in collaboration with FabNotion to cater to the needs of 3D printing professionals. This innovative product comes in two versions:

1. The PolyDryer Box for storage and humidity monitoring - 235 x 120 x 235 mm
2. The complete PolyDryer solution that includes both the storage box and the Dry Dock detachable dryer unit - 55 x 120 x 235 mm.

The PolyDryer Box is equipped with a hygrometer and desiccant box, as well as color-changing desiccant to maintain the optimal environment for your filament. The Dry Dock unit can be attached to the box for efficient filament drying, powered using the included power adapter, and controlled with the user-friendly screen and buttons.

The PolyDryer's 360° airflow, efficient 65 W PTC heater, and a powerful 24 V fan ensure consistent and even drying of the filament spool without causing any damage. Its drying process is efficient and features three power presets suitable for most 3D printing materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC, PA, PVA or PVB.

The product is designed for continuous filament drying during storage, offering excellent sealing performance and heat safety control (thermal breaker and an NTC thermistor on the PCB). This level of control over the drying and storage environment ensures that filaments are always kept in perfect condition for high-quality 3D printing.

Additionally, users can customize the setup with printable add-ons to hang or link the boxes together. The PolyDryer Box is compatible with various spool sizes up to 1 kg and features a central holder for smooth filament rotation. A 50 cm PTFE tube is provided to facilitate easy feeding directly to the 3D printer.

The design of the PolyDryer takes into account the user's intent for flexibility and convenience. With a single drying dock, users can connect multiple PolyDryer Boxes to maintain their filament collection in optimal condition. This allows users to prepare for various projects by keeping the filament stored properly and ready for use.
