PolyDryer Box

Keeping 3D printing filament dry is crucial for ensuring high-quality prints. Moisture absorption can lead to uneven extrusion, nozzle clogs, and poor layer adhesion, resulting in low-quality prints. Properly storing filament in specialized containers with desiccants helps maintain material integrity and printing performance.

The PolyDryer Box by Polymaker is a versatile filament drying and storage solution created in collaboration with FabNotion to meet the needs of 3D printing professionals. This innovative product comes in four versions:

1. The PolyDryer Box for storage and moisture monitoring - 235 x 120 x 235 mm
2. The complete PolyDryer solution which includes both the storage box and the detachable Dry Dock unit - 55 x 120 x 235 mm.
3. The PolyDryer Dock allows for a scalable filament drying system, as it enables multiple units to be connected together.
4. The PolyDryer Box XL, a higher-capacity version designed for large spools (up to 3 kg), offering fully sealed storage and advanced moisture protection during long prints.

The PolyDryer Box comes equipped with a hygrometer and a desiccant box, featuring color-changing desiccant to maintain an optimal environment for your filament. The Dry Dock unit can be connected to the box for efficient filament drying, powered by the included power adapter and controlled via an easy-to-use display and buttons.

For its part, the PolyDryer Box XL is specifically designed for moisture-sensitive filaments and large spools, providing a superior seal verified through water, smoke, and moisture-gain leak tests. This ensures the filament remains dry even during prolonged print jobs.

The PolyDryer’s 360° airflow, combined with an efficient 65W PTC heater and a powerful 24V fan, ensures consistent and uniform drying of the filament spool without causing any damage. The drying process is highly efficient and features three power presets suitable for most 3D printing materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC, PA, PVA, or PVB.

The PolyDryer Box XL also incorporates real-time humidity monitoring via an integrated hygrometer, along with approximately 110 g of color-changing silica gel for visual internal status checks. This allows the user to know at all times if the filament is in optimal condition.

Furthermore, it is part of the PolyDryer ecosystem and can be integrated with the Dry Dock (using an optional adapter) to add active drying capability, combining secure storage and drying in a single solution.

Its design is user-centric, featuring an integrated handle for easy transport, an optimized system for loading heavy spools, and a new locking system that improves both airtightness and ease of use.

Additionally, users can customize their setup with printable accessories for hanging or connecting boxes together. The PolyDryer Box is compatible with various spool sizes up to 1 kg, while the XL version supports spools up to 3 kg (Ø300 x 118 mm) and 1.75 / 2.85 / 3.00 mm filaments, offering an ideal solution for professional or high-production environments.

The PolyDryer design prioritizes user intent for flexibility and convenience. With a single dryer unit, users can connect multiple PolyDryer Boxes (including the XL version) to keep their entire filament collection in peak condition.
