Facilan C8 FDM is a 3D printing filament developed by 3D4Makers, a Dutch brand with many years of experience in the polymer industry. Facilan C8 is composed of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), also known as C8 due to its eight-carbon chemical structure. Another component of Facilan C8 is perfluorooctanoate, a perfluorinated carboxylic acid and synthetic surfactant.
This filament demonstrates a higher tensile strength than ABS, higher impact resistance than PLA and its surface quality is better than that of any other FDM material.
Facilan C8 stands out for its strength and good interlayer adhesion properties, printing with this filament leaves virtually no visible layers and the surface finish of the material is matt and smooth to the touch.
Facilan C8 is designed specially for high throughput manufacturing and demanding end-use applications such as end use industrial parts and high end prototypes.

Facilan C8 filament print profiles are available at Ultimaker Cura.
It is recommended to 3D print the Facilan C8 filament at 180-210 ºC on a bed heated to 25-50 ºC at a speed of 40-70 mm/s. The recommended printing surface is a PEI sheet or glass.
The Facilan C8 filament has very good compatibility with support material such as PVOH. The C8 filament can be used as its own support as well, with very easy removal.
