Fiber Three is a German 3D printing material manufacturer specialising in the production of technical filaments made of polyamide (also known as nylon or PA). Its product range includes the Pro family, professional grade products, and the Lite family, a range of standard materials.

Nylon (PA) is undoubtedly one of the most widely used technical materials in FDM 3D printing. This is because this material meets the mechanical requirements for demanding applications in a variety of industries, whether for prototyping or manufacturing functional end parts.

F3 PA Pure Lite filament is composed mostly of polyamide 12, and unlike F3 PA-CF Lite, it is unfilled. It has been developed with the aim of offering excellent properties and good impact resistance. It provides dimensional stability during 3D printing and reduces the possibility of deformations such as the dreaded warping effect. In addition, it adheres perfectly to epoxy fibre plates.

Parts 3D printed with F3 PA Pure Lite filament are characterised by very low water absorption. In addition, this material is resistant to oils, fuels and chemicals and the resulting parts are whitish in colour and have a smooth, even surface finish.

The material differs from PA Pure Pro in its higher heat absorption in the melting process and lower sensitivity to moisture.

F3 PA Pure Lite must be kept dry for reliable printing results in all conditions. This is why it is recommended to keep the filament dry for reliable printing results in all conditions. We recommend the use of F3 Safe, Fiber Three's drying cases that allow you to store and keep the material free of moisture even during the printing process.

When 3D printing polyamide-based materials such as F3 PA Pure Lite filament, certain factors must be taken into account, as it is a hygroscopic material. This means that it is a material with a tendency to absorb moisture from the surrounding environment.

The use of a filament with moisture can directly affect the quality of the parts and the mechanical properties of the material. Therefore, in addition to working with a 3D printer that has the right characteristics for 3D printing nylon filament, the user must store and handle the filament in the right conditions. For this reason, the manufacturer recommends using the F3 Safe drying case both to store the material and to keep it free of moisture during the 3D printing process.

The manufacturer Fiber Three offers the user different printing profiles to use this material with some of the most widely used FDM 3D printer models currently in use, such as Prusa I3 MK3S+ or the different models of Raise3D, Ultimaker or Zortrax.
