Fiber Three is renowned for the manufacture of polyamide-based filaments for professional use and the development of accessories to optimise the printing process with technical filaments, such as its F3 Safe drying cases or its F3 ProPrint printing surfaces.
The range of filaments offered by Fiber Three includes polyamide-based filaments filled with carbon fibre or glass fibre, but also pure polyamide filaments optimised for FDM 3D printing such as the F3 PA Pure Pro filament.
Nylon (PA) is undoubtedly one of the most widely used materials at a technical level in FDM 3D printing. Polyamide 6 (PA 6), in particular, is the most common extruded polyamide. This is because this material meets the mechanical requirements for demanding applications in various sectors, thanks to its good damping properties and impact resistance, as well as its good toughness at low temperatures. It is therefore a suitable material for the manufacture of prototypes and functional end parts.
F3 PA Pure Pro filament is composed mostly of polyamide 6, and has been developed with the aim of offering excellent properties and reducing the shrinkage typical of polyamide filaments, providing dimensional stability during 3D printing and reducing the possibility of deformations such as the dreaded warping effect.
Parts 3D printed with F3 PA Pure Pro filament show properties close to injection moulded parts due to the high inter-layer adhesion of this material. In addition, the resulting parts are whitish in colour and have a smooth, even surface finish.
The F3 PA Pure Pro filament offers high adhesion to various printing surfaces, especially to the F3 ProPrint surface. This printing surface has been developed by Fiber Three specifically for its polyamide filaments.
This filament is part of Fiber Three's range of professional grade materials and, due to its nature, is moderately hygroscopic. This sensitivity to moisture is not a problem thanks to F3 Safe, the drying cases developed by Fiber Three, which allow the material to be stored and kept free of moisture even during the 3D printing process.
Thanks to the development of filaments such as F3 PA PurePro, Fiber Three offers the possibility of manufacturing parts with a quality close to that of injection moulded parts, allowing professional users to produce their own prototypes or functional parts.

When 3D printing polyamide materials such as F3 PA Pure Pro filament, certain factors must be taken into account, as it is a hygroscopic material. This means that it is a material with a tendency to absorb moisture from the surrounding environment.
The use of a filament with moisture can directly affect the quality of the parts and the mechanical properties of the material. Therefore, in addition to working with a 3D printer that has the right characteristics for 3D printing nylon filament, the user must store and handle the filament in the right conditions. For this reason, the manufacturer recommends using the F3 Safe drying case both to store the material and to keep it free of moisture during the 3D printing process.
The manufacturer Fiber Three offers the user different printing profiles to use this material with some of the most widely used FDM 3D printers, such as Prusa I3 MK3S+ or the different models of Raise3D, Ultimaker or Zortrax. You can download these profiles through this link.
