The Hyper Speed PETG CF filament from Raise3D is an advanced composite material made of PETG reinforced with 8% recycled carbon fibers, specifically designed for Hyper FFF technology and compatible with print speeds up to 300 mm/s. This filament combines PETG’s excellent printability with a matte texture enhanced by carbon fiber, providing superior mechanical strength, thermal resistance, and dimensional stability, ideal for applications requiring reliability, precision, and cost efficiency.

Performance and Material Properties

Parts printed with Hyper Speed PETG CF feature high stiffness and strength, low moisture absorption, and long-term dimensional stability. The integration of recycled carbon fibers ensures a uniform matte surface finish, suitable for both functional prototypes and end-use industrial parts. Its chemical and thermal resistance guarantees durability and reliability in demanding applications.

Compatibility and Industrial Applications

This technical filament is compatible with industrial PET support filaments, allowing complex structures to be printed without compromising final part quality. Its optimized design makes it suitable for rapid prototyping, automotive components, end-use industrial parts, and jigs and tooling, ensuring consistent and precise results in professional production environments.

RFID Version for Enhanced Print Control

The RFID version includes a smart tag that allows compatible printers to automatically identify the filament type and verify optimal print settings, improving consistency and safety. This RFID filament can also be used in printers without an RFID sensor, retaining all the advantages of Hyper Speed PETG CF.

Differences Between Hyper Speed PETG CF and Raise3D PET CF

The main difference between Hyper Speed PETG CF and PET CF from Raise3D lies in composition, reinforcement level, and intended use. Hyper Speed PETG CF uses PETG reinforced with 8% recycled carbon fibers, maintaining PETG’s excellent printability and compatibility with speeds up to 300 mm/s in Hyper FFF. It provides good mechanical strength and dimensional stability with a uniform matte finish, ideal for rapid prototyping and functional parts with a favorable performance-to-cost balance.

Meanwhile, PET CF is made of PET reinforced with 15% carbon fiber, achieving higher mechanical and thermal properties, especially when subjected to annealing, which can raise its heat resistance to 150 °C. This makes it better suited for demanding industrial applications (automotive, aerospace, electronics), provided abrasion-resistant extrusion systems are used. In summary, Hyper Speed PETG CF prioritizes speed, printability, and cost efficiency, while PET CF focuses on robustness, durability, and enhanced post-processing properties.

Conclusion

In short, Hyper Speed PETG CF filament combines high print speed, mechanical strength, thermal stability, and dimensional accuracy, making it the perfect choice for engineering prototypes and functional parts where quality finish, reliability, and efficiency are essential in industrial and professional applications.

To achieve optimal performance with Hyper Speed PETG CF filament, it is essential to follow the recommended printing parameters. The nozzle temperature should be set to 280 °C, while the print bed should be at 80 °C to ensure proper adhesion. A layer height of 0.2–0.25 mm provides the best balance between precision and speed, with a printing speed of 50–200 mm/s. Keep the part cooling fan on for better surface finish.

Before printing, it is crucial to dry the filament at 80 °C for 12–24 hours, as low moisture is key for final part quality. After drying, it is recommended to store the filament in a dry box during printing to prevent moisture absorption.

Because Hyper Speed PETG CF is abrasive due to the carbon fiber, brass nozzles wear out quickly. It is recommended to use at least a hardened steel nozzle, preferably a silicon carbide nozzle or ruby nozzle to maintain precision and extend tool life, especially for long or high-speed prints.<br
