Resin for the fast 3D printing of precise and durable miniatures and models.

The Phrozen catalog of standard 3D printing resins contains the Aqua LCD resin characterized by high precision, high resolution, high dimensional stability, low shrinkage, low viscosity and low odor, as well as high printing speed. This resin is available in Clear, Green and Blue.

The Aqua resin produces durable and resilient parts that do not break easily and can be post-processed by painting. Apart from its use for model and miniature production, the Aqua resin is also suitable for industrial applications to make see-through models or prototypes.

It must be kept in mind that after washing, the parts 3D printed with the Aqua Clear resin will have a frosty look. Getting the translucency back requires extra post-processing. The mostly used techniques are sanding and polishing, resin dipping, nitrogen UV-curing or spray coating.

The printing profiles for the Aqua resin can be found here.

Impact strength (KJ/m2) 1.8
Elongation at break (%) 21
Tensile strength (MPa) 24
Tensile modulus (MPa) 735
Flexural strength (MPa) 29
Flexural modulus (MPa) 701
Surface hardness 9

Once opened, Phrozen Aqua resin must be stored properly to prevent degradation of the resin. To achieve the desired properties, parts 3D printed with Aqua resin must be post-processed. The parts must first be washed in IPA alcohol or any other authorized resin cleaning liquid and then post-cured under UV light. Washing and curing can be done with the help of devices such as the Phrozen Wash & Cure Kit or the Cure XL or Cure Mega curing devices.

More information on the maintenance of Aqua resin and post-processing of 3D printed parts can be found in the Manual in the Downloads section.
