The PLA Magic Silk bicolor filament by R3D is a filament that features 2 colors on a
single spool, which results in a visually attractive color-changing effect. The color-changing effect in dual-color 3D printing filaments arises from combining two materials or pigments in a single strand. During printing, this fused filament creates transitions or distinct color changes. It results from the interaction of light and pigments, determining the perceived color by light absorption and reflection on the object's surface. Optics principles explain light interaction, causing color variations when viewed from different angles or lighting conditions

The recommended printing temperature for the PLA Magic Silk filament ranges between 195-215 ºC, and the best bed temperature is 40-60 ºC. The recommended printing speed is 50-70 mm/s.

Proper storage of the PLA Magic Silk filament is essential, as processing damp filament can lead to polymer chain degradation, fragility, poor layer adhesion, stringing, and oozing. It's best to store the filament in a sealed bag with desiccant or in a vacuum-sealed filament container.
