Form Cure L - FormLabs

FormLabs has a whole ecosystem developed to automate the 3D printing and post-processing process of 3D printed parts with SLA technology. Therefore, in addition to 3D printers such as Form 3, Form 3B, Form 3L or Form 3BL, it has curing machines, washing machines, materials and post-processing kits.

Form 3L and Form 3BL are FormLabs' highest volume SLA 3D printers, allowing the user to 3D print large resin parts.

For these 3D printer models, Form Labs has developed a specific washing machine (Form Wash L) and a curing machine: Form Cure L.

Form Cure L offers an ample curing volume thanks to its turntable with a diameter of 395 mm and the maximum allowed workpiece height of 320 mm, thus adapting to the needs of Form 3L and Form 3BL 3D printer users.

Form Cure L controls the curing temperature with great precision, keeping it stable at all times. In addition, thanks to its multi-directional LEDs, the light reaches all areas of the parts for optimal curing of the material.

During the curing of Form Cure L, exposure to 405nm light causes chemical bonds to form in the molecular structure of the printed part, making the material stronger and more rigid. Forced air heat accelerates and enhances this bond formation process for highly effective curing of all types of resins.

In addition, the Form Cure L machine has been validated in FDA-approved workflows and is compatible with biocompatible and sterilisable materials manufactured in FormLabs facilities with ISO 13485.

To make the printing process with this equipment fully automated, FormLabs has a curing unit called Form Cure L, which is necessary to achieve the optimum mechanical properties offered by each type of resin.
