In the world of toys, FiberFlex 40D can be utilized for crafting tires and rubber figures, providing a resilient material for play. Furthermore, its potential extends to the realm of jewelry, offering an ideal filament for creating bands and bracelets that seamlessly blend flexibility and strength. With FiberFlex 40D, the applications are diverse, ranging from industrial machinery components to everyday gadgets, toys, and even personalized accessories like jewelry.

What makes the Fiberlogy FiberFlex 40D filament truly versatile is that it has been favorably assessed to be part of the Open Filament Program by Raise3D. This makes it possible to extrude this filament on the Pro3 printer.

The ideal printing temperature for FiberFlex 40D is between 200 ºC and 220 ºC on a heated bed at 50-70 ºC at a speed of 45 mm/s, with the layer fan set to 50-75 % and the flow rate set to 105-110 %. It is not necessary to print this filament in a closed chamber. The recommended retraction speed for FiberFlex 40D is 10-30 mm/s, and the optimal retractions are 1-2 mm for direct extrusion. The manufacturer suggests printing this filament on glass with Kapton tape. To facilitate the removal of the part, it is recommended to heat the bed to 110 ºC.

The proper storage of FiberFlex 40D filament is essential, as processing a wet filament can lead to polymer chain degradation, fragility, poor layer adhesion, stringing, and oozing. It is best to store the filament in a sealed bag with desiccant or in a vacuum-sealed filament container. If the filament absorbs excess moisture, it should be dried in a filament dryer at 60 ºC for 4 hours before it can be extruded.
