Preparation and Safety: Before each print, ensure the workspace is well-ventilated and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE): N95/P2 respirator, gloves, and safety goggles. Nylon powder (PA12) is fine and potentially irritating; avoid inhalation and prolonged skin contact. Verify that ambient temperature remains stable (18–25 °C) and relative humidity does not exceed 40 %, as moisture absorption by the powder directly impacts sintering quality and may cause bubbling or part distortion.

Maintenance and Powder Reuse: After each print, carefully sieve the unsintered powder through a 100–120 µm mesh to remove agglomerates and debris. You may blend up to 50–70 % recycled powder with virgin material (per the powder manufacturer’s specifications), but do not exceed 3–4 reuse cycles to preserve mechanical properties. Periodically clean the recoater roller, laser window, and interior chamber with dry compressed air, avoiding contact with optical surfaces using abrasive materials.

Efficiently nest parts within the build volume, maintaining at least 2–3 mm separation to ensure uniform powder flow and prevent unintended fusion. Avoid thin walls (<0.8 mm) and unsupported high-aspect-ratio geometries (e.g., long, slender rods), which may warp due to thermal stresses. For functional parts, orient expected loads along the X-Y direction (horizontal layers), where strength is higher than in Z.
