Filament2print launches its new Basics line, designed to offer professional-quality filaments with maximum reliability and ease of use. In this range, PLA Matte Basic HS is the perfect starter material: simple, versatile, and compatible with virtually any FDM/FFF 3D printer on the market.

Its ease of printing and excellent finish make it ideal for makers of all levels.

The Most Versatile Material for 3D Printing

PLA (polylactic acid) is one of the most popular 3D printing materials due to its ease of use, excellent surface quality, and low tendency to warp. It is also one of the most sustainable 3D printing materials, as it comes from renewable sources (plant starches) and is biodegradable.

Its low thermal shrinkage makes it perfect for open printers and large models, while its wide compatibility with almost all FDM/FFF printers makes it ideal for beginners and advanced users alike.

Common applications include decorative models, functional prototypes, aesthetic parts, architectural models, and everyday items.

Professional Finish, Exceptional Performance

Discover the new PLA Matte Basic by Filament2print range, designed for maximum quality in every print. Available in a wide variety of colors with an elegant matte finish, each color is referenced to specific RAL tones, ensuring visual consistency and faithful color reproduction in professional projects.

The matte finish prevents unwanted reflections, enhancing visual appeal and detail perception. PLA Matte Basic is ideal for visual models and prototypes, design presentations, mockups, or any part where final appearance is as important as dimensional accuracy.

Print with Confidence and Precision

PLA Matte Basic stands out for its excellent spool quality and consistent diameter, key factors that directly affect print reliability and final part quality.

A uniform and controlled spool ensures smooth filament feed, avoiding tangles or overlaps that could interrupt printing. This allows hassle-free operation even for long prints or automated feeding systems, such as Bambu Lab AMS.

Filament2Print filaments are vacuum-sealed with excellent winding.

Moreover, a consistent diameter with minimal 0.05 mm tolerance ensures precise and stable extrusion. This maintains uniform material flow, reduces under- or over-extrusion, and improves layer adhesion and detail definition.

The result: parts with flawless finish, accurate geometries, and a more predictable and professional printing experience.

Ready for High-Speed Printing

PLA Matte Basic by Filament2Print is formulated to maximize the potential of next-gen 3D printers capable of higher flow rates and accelerations.

With excellent flow and thermal stability, it supports up to 22 mm³/s volumetric flow (up to 300 mm/s with 0.4 mm nozzles), allowing high-speed printing without compromising quality or finish.

This makes PLA Matte Basic perfect for high-speed printing, reducing production time without adjusting complex parameters or sacrificing precision.

Its optimized composition ensures fast, uniform thermal transitions, guaranteeing smooth extrusion even during rapid acceleration or deceleration (essential for CoreXY or high-response direct-drive printers).

PLA Matte Basic is fully compatible with all high-speed printers, delivering predictable performance, well-fused layers, and uniform surfaces on large or complex parts.

Total Compatibility

PLA Matte Basic is designed to integrate smoothly into virtually any FDM/FFF 3D printing ecosystem.

Each spool uses a high-quality plastic reel, developed for maximum compatibility and durability. It is also compatible with most multimaterial systems, ensuring reliable performance in advanced setups.

Unlike cardboard spools, the plastic spool offers:

  • Greater structural strength, avoiding deformation or breakage in humid conditions.
  • Smoother rotation and reduced friction, improving filament feed and reducing extruder effort.
  • Total multimaterial compatibility, where precise spool dimensions are key.
  • Reusable and stable, ideal for long-term use, internal recycling, or variable storage conditions.

Its standard geometry and precise tolerances make it perfect for universal holders, closed spool systems, or automated winders, ensuring smooth, tension-free feeding.

With these features, PLA Matte Basic is a plug & play material, designed for productivity, reliability, and full compatibility. Works equally well on desktop and professional printers, offering a stable, trouble-free experience from the first layer to the last.

Basics: Filament2Print’s Creative Expansion

Basics by Filament2Print not only offers professional-quality materials: it represents the company’s own creative universe, a line developed to reflect innovation, attention to detail, and vision in 3D printing. With Basics, Filament2Print provides a reliable, versatile, and aesthetically impeccable material, ensuring each print succeeds from the first layer.
