The PCTG Premium filament by Spectrum is a top-tier material offering a superior alternative to PETG, widely used in the 3D printing industry. As a member of the copolyester family, it combines the best properties of PETG and Tough PLA, making it an ideal choice for professionals seeking enhanced performance and reliability in their printed parts.
One of the standout features of Premium PCTG is its exceptional impact strength, high dimensional stability, and minimal shrinkage. These characteristics ensure precise and durable prints even under demanding conditions. Additionally, the filament is highly resistant to chemicals, withstands temperatures up to 76 ºC, is hydrophobic, and emits no unpleasant odors during the printing process.
Premium PCTG also delivers an excellent surface finish, with a smoother and more transparent appearance than PETG in translucent color variants. Its easy printability simplifies both the printing and post-processing stages, making it suitable for users of all experience levels while ensuring professional-grade results.
Thanks to its robust mechanical properties and ease of use, Premium PCTG is perfect for a wide range of applications, including visual and functional prototyping, fit testing, conceptual modeling, and production tooling. Its reliability and versatility make it a valuable asset for designers, engineers, and manufacturers working on demanding 3D printing projects.

Once opened, the PCTG filament must be stored properly to prevent it from absorbing moisture from the air. Filament is best stored in a hermetically sealed bag with desiccant, in a vacuum-sealed container or in a smart filament container. If the filament absorbs too much moisture, it should be dried in a filament dryer.
The manufacturer recommends printing PCTG filament at 250-270 °C on a bed heated to 60-100 °C. It is recommended to print at a speed of 40-110 mm/s with the layer fan on. Although a heated chamber is not required for this filament, it is recommended to use it when big parts are printed to prevent warping. In case of adhesion problems, products such as Magigoo can be applied to the printing bed.
It is strongly recommended to use standard safety equipment during printing and post-processing of 3D printed parts with PCTG filament: safety goggles, gloves, breathing apparatus and protective clothing as required.
