CPE, a modified version of PETG, is an engineering material developed specially for the 3D printing of durable and tough technical parts with high dimensional stability and precision, a smooth matte surface finish, resistance to chemicals (acids, alkalis, alcohols), and ease of printing (255-275 ºC).

Reinforcing the CPE base with carbon fibers creates the CPE CF112 Carbon pellets by Fillamentum. These pellets have all those qualities of CPE boosted with creep resistance (deformation under long-term load), wear resistancelow warping, and heat resistance (up to 100 ºC).

Furthermore, CPE CF112 is 25 % bio-based, recyclable, and free of BPA and styrene. These porperties make the pellets safe to use and more environmentally-friendly.

The CPE CF112 Carbon pellets were created specially for BAAM (Big Area Additive Manufacturing) and MAAM (Middle Area Additive Manufacturing) in mind. They can be extruded with the help of FGF manufacturing solutions such as the CEAD AM Flexbot, the CEAD E25 extruder, the Mahor V4 pellet extruder, or the Dyze Pulsar extruder. This material is also available in filament format.

The proper storage of 3D printing materials is key to smooth extrusion, and great surface quality and mechanical properties of the 3D printed part. The CPE CF112 Carbon pellets should be stored in a closed package in dry conditions at temperature below 50 ºC, protected from UV-light at all times. If the pellets absorb excess moisture, they should be dried for 5 hours at 70 ºC. The recommended processing temperature for the CPE CF112 Carbon pellets is 255 - 275 ºC.
