The 22 IDEX V3 High-Temp from Vision Miner is an industrial 3D printer designed to work with high-performance thermoplastics such as PEEK, PEKK, ULTEM™, PEI, PPSU, Nylon, PC, and ABS, among many others. Equipped with independent dual extruders capable of 500 °C, an actively heated chamber up to 100 °C, and a build platform reaching 200 °C with a triple motor and true automatic leveling, it offers a fully open material system combining automation, ease of use, and optimized cost for high-temperature additive manufacturing.

What's New in Version V3

The 22 IDEX V3 is the result of years of improvements based on the experience of engineers, print shops, and manufacturers around the world. It incorporates internal, external, mechanical, software, and firmware upgrades that make it the most advanced version to date:

Duet 3 Mainboards with more RAM, greater processing power, and improved firmware; fully automated XYZ calibration ready to use right out of the box; more than 100 micro-adjustments enhancing the user experience; and thermal improvements enabling ultra-polymer printing with complete reliability.

High Productivity with Industrial Materials

From aerospace spare parts to autoclavable and sterilizable tools for medical applications, the 22 IDEX V3 allows working with functional polymers and composites resistant to chemicals and radiation. Capable of processing high-temperature metal-replacement thermoplastics, this printer can produce everything from vacuum molds to press brake tooling, delivering production-ready components for automotive, medical, industrial, and aerospace sectors.

High-Performance Extrusion: 500 °C Dual Hotends

Unlike other printers, both extruders reach 500 °C, allowing work in multi-material, duplication, mirror, or soluble support modes. This ensures maximum versatility for complex and continuous production projects.

Self-Leveling Build Platform at 200 °C

The print bed features three Z motors enabling true automatic leveling, eliminating the need for manual calibration. In addition, the system includes dynamic mesh leveling with over 128 points, ensuring the extruder adapts to any surface variation. The four-motor XY gantry maintains precision and alignment automatically over time.

Heated Chamber Above 100 °C

The build environment reaches over 100 °C, essential for printing engineering polymers. Two thermistors control the chamber temperature, while auxiliary convection fans ensure a uniformly heated volume, resulting in parts with reliable and consistent mechanical properties.

Full Compatibility with Open Materials

With an open 1.75 mm extrusion system, the 22 IDEX V3 does not restrict the user to proprietary materials. Any market filament can be used, including certified materials such as FAR 25.853 and UL94 V0. This ensures total flexibility for projects requiring industrial and aerospace standards.

Precision Motion System

The printer is built on a solid steel frame that maintains stability even at high temperatures. It includes a motion system with linear rails, 12 mm Kevlar belts, Z-axis kinematic couplings, and an easily accessible belt-tensioning system. Equipped with standard connections for BOFA fume extractors with 2” hoses, the 22 IDEX surpasses the basic HEPA + activated carbon filters of other printers, ensuring safety in production environments. In addition, its automatic shutdown system protects against overheating, electrical failures, or thermal leaks. Solid-state relays and high-quality wiring reinforce its reliability for continuous operation.

High-End Components

It incorporates Bondtech LGX Pro dual-gear extruders on both hotends and Slice Engineering Copperhead hotends, renowned for consistent thermal flow and precision CNC machining. These components ensure stable extrusion even with ultra-complex materials like carbon-fiber-filled PEEK.

Software and Remote Control

The printer uses open RepRap firmware on Duet 3, offering compatibility with any slicer on the market. It includes preconfigured profiles for PrusaSlicer with high-performance materials such as PEEK, carbon-fiber nylon, or PCTG, though users can always choose their preferred software.
