Creality CR-3040 Pro - FDM 3D printer

The Creality CR-3040 Pro 3D printer is a professional open material industrial FDM printer designed for working with PLA and ABS. It is an upgrade of the CR-3040 printer by Creality with many features that make CR-3040 Pro more innovative and higher performance.

CR-3040 Pro has a build volume of 300 x 300 x 400 mm, automatic bed leveling, a filament sensor, a better printing surface and a new nozzle kit for high precision, to mention only a few improvements.

Extrusion system

The CR-3040 Pro 3D printer is equipped with a single Bowden-type extrusion system that can heat up very fast to temperatures of up to 280 ºC. The printer is equipped with an MK8 nozzle and a new generation heat sink, which means faster and more efficient nozzle cooling. The upgraded platinum resistance thermistor has a more sensitive temperature sending and longer service life.

When the filament has run out, CR-3040 Pro will detect it, automatically stop printing, and resume printing when the new filament is fed. This allows for enormous time and material savings, as well as convenience and peace of mind for the user.

A new printing platform

The CR-3040 Pro printer's build surface was also updated. The new printing surface is a highly adhesive carborundum glass plate attached with clamps. The uniform heating of the bed (up to 110 ºC) and the high quality build surface both ensure that the model does not warp and is easy to remove.

Another feature that makes the CR-3040 Pro printer veru user-friendly and precise is the BL-Touch Smart platform leveling. BLTouch is an innovative levelling system developed and patented by young Korean engineer Paris Kyung-yeon Lee. BL-Touch Smart is a sensor with contact based on hall effect, with great precision and repeatability.

Sleek and smart chassis

Despite its industrial spirit, the CR-3040 Pro printer has a sleek white appearance. The structure is fully closed and accessible with three doors: one in the front , one on the top and one on the side to access the spool cabinet and the extruder.

This solution helps ensure the constant temperature environment to print with high stability and precision. CR-3040 Pro is easy to move or transport as it is equipped with 1.5" universal wheels with a brake structure.

As far as the axes, the double cross shaft with precise screw and positioning transmission ensures high printing speeds of up to 180 mm/s and print stability.

Advanced safety features

In order to ensure the best printing quality as well as user safety and convenience, Creality equipped the CR-3040 Pro printer with double 6025 fans. They effectively reduce the air dust and avoid excessive cabinet temperature.

Another safety feature included in the CR-3040 Pro printer is the power loss fail safe. In case of sudden power loss, the printer automatically saves the printing progress and resume printing after the power is back up. This solution prevents material waste and saves the user time and resources.

User interface

The user interface of the CR-3040 Pro printer is a 4.3" color touch screen with intelligent interaction. This user interface is easy to navigate and apart from serving as a command center, it can display the real-time printing progress. Another handy feature of the CR-3040 Pro are the built-in soft LED lights that allow the user to observe the printing process and avoid printing failure.
