The Industrial Silicone-like Black resin from Harz Labs is specifically designed for 3D printing engineering products requiring flexibility and resilience, such as shoe soles, radio-controlled model tires, and seals. This resin combines silicone properties with traditional 3D printing materials to enhance the mechanical characteristics of the printed parts, particularly in terms of elasticity, toughness, and heat resistance. The result are parts with properties similar to parts manufactured by means of injection molding with PP.

However, it is not recommended for applications involving prolonged contact with water, solvents, or aggressive environments, such as acidic or alkaline solutions, as these can degrade the material over time. One of the primary benefits of silicone-like resins is their exceptional flexibility, allowing printed parts to bend and return to their original shape without permanent deformation. This makes the resin ideal for prototyping and manufacturing products that require repeated bending or compression, maintaining durability throughout extended use.

The Industrial Silicone-like Black resin is characterized by low odor during the printing process and is compatible with a wide range of resin 3D printers, including popular models like the Anycubic Photon Mono M5(s), Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra 12K, UNIZ NBEE, Phrozen Sonic Mighty 4K and many more. This compatibility makes it a versatile choice for professionals looking to expand their material options for engineering prototypes and functional parts. The full list of supported printers can be found on the manufacturer's website for detailed reference.

The print settings for the Industrial Silicone-Like Black resin can be found on the manufacturer's website. Once the printing has been completed, the part must be removed from the manufacturing platform with a metal spatula, taking care not to damage the surface of the platform.

The part should then be washed twice (3 minutes each time) in IPA alcohol to remove the uncured resin from the outer walls of the part. After this time, air pressure should be applied to the piece until it is completely dry.

To achieve the maximum properties that the Industrial Silicone-Like Black resin can provide, it is necessary to first heat the part at 70 ºС for 10 minutes and then post-cure the part for 30 minutes in glycerine in a curing station (Form Cure). Washing and curing parameters can be found on the Harz Labs website.

Before removing the parts from the manufacturing base, the user must be equipped with a series of safety measures. The use of gloves is recommended to prevent resin and alcohol from contacting the skin. It is also crucial to wear safety glasses for any drops that may arise during the washing of the parts.
