The 3NTR PC-ABS V0 filament is part of the material portfolio of 3NTR, a famous Italian manufacturer of industrial 3D printers and filament. The PC-ABS V0 was developed for the railway industry. It complies with the EN45545 test norm for rail transport and applications where low flammability is required. The PC-ABS V0 filament also complies with the UL94 V0 norm as its post-combustion time after flaming is less than 10 seconds. Compared to standard ABS, the 3NTR PC-ABS V0 filament has double the impact resistance and can be used in temperatures of up to 100 ° C. This material can be printed with both breakaway and soluble support materials.
PC-ABS is a blend of PC and ABS with unique properties combining the best of these two materials. PC-ABS is highly processable just like ABS, and it owes its excellent mechanical, impact (even at low temperatures) and heat resistance to PC. Moreover, the 3NTR PC-ABS V0 demonstrates low shrinkage and high dimensional accuracy.
The 3NTR PC-ABS V0 has countless applications, especially in the automotive and electronic industries. In the automotive industry it can be used to make center consoles, glove boxes, knee airbags and other structural components. In the electronics industry, PC-ABS is often used to manufacture TV frames, mobile phone cases, laptop monitor cases, keyboards or power supplies and chargers.

The 3NTR 3D printers, which this material is designed for, incorporate a carbon fiber base additivized with glass fiber to provide a highly adherent printing surface without the need for external adhesion improving products.
Should warping occur, it is recommended to use the "raft" or "brim" setting in the slicing software. The "raft" setting creates a first thick layer that works as a support for the actual piece and is quite easy to remove when the print is done. With this option, it is recommended to lower the infill value to lower the amount of heat stored by the piece. The "brim" setting resembles a membrane around the piece and is ideal for printing small parts or parts with a narrow base. It is recommended to never go over 5 mm in brim thickness to avoid the first layer peeling off the printing base.
