These PVA pellets by Kai Parthy are an FGF 3D printing material to be used for direct extrusion or filament production. The Kai Parthy PVA pellets come in two particle sizes:
A unique feature of this material is the very small particle size that makes the pellets look like powder. Nevertheless, these PVA pellets are meant for FGF 3D printing and cannot be used on SLS 3D printing equipment at the risk of damaging the SLS 3D printer.
PVA is a water-soluble material ideal for use as a soluble support material in FDM 3D printing with main materials such as PLA, PVB, Nylon or TPU. Using PVA as a support material allows for the additive manufacturing of parts with complex geometries and easily removing the support structure by simply dissolving it.
The best equipment for the processing of the Kai Parthy PVA pellets is the Mahor V4 pellet extruder or the Tumaker 3D printers for direct extrusion. The Tumaker 3D printers in the dual extrusion variant are especially suitable for printing with the PVA pellets as a support material, even in combination with filament. It is also possible to make filament from the PVA pellets with the help of the Felfil EVO extruder or Filastruder.
It is very important to store PVA pellets in an airtight bag to prevent them from absorbing moisture from the environment before use. If the pellets have moisture in them, the resulting parts or filament may contain small imperfections. Once the filament has been manufactured using PVA pellets, it is also recommended to store the filament properly.
