Hotend Revo Prusa Edition

The Revo ecosystem from E3D, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality components for FDM 3D printers, has revolutionised the market with several Rapid Change hotends. In their efforts to make their innovative technology accessible to an even wider audience, E3D decided to release various upgrades for Prusa 3D printers in the form of the famous Revo Micro and Revo Six hotends specially adapted for the Prusa Mini and Prusa MK3 printers.

Upgrading the Prusa Mini and MK3 hotends to the Revo system with Revo Micro and Revo Six gives the user numerous advantages, including faster heatup and cooldown times, 30-second nozzle changes, a reduced number of hotend leaks, and being part of a growing ecosystem with more exciting upgrades in the future. 

Revo Micro hotend for Prusa Mini

The hotend kit for the Prusa Mini printers consists of the Revo Micro heatsink (1.75 mm, 24 V) and comes in two nozzle options: a single nozzle kit (0.4 mm brass Revo nozzle) or a fully loaded kit (0.25, 0.40, 0.60 and 0.80 mm brass Revo nozzles). Apart from the Revo Micro heatsink, the E3D hotend kit for the Prusa Mini printers contains a Revo HeaterCore (24 V), a HeaterCore spring, a Prusa Mini extension cable kit, as well as various clips and brackets required for the mounting of the hotend on the Prusa Mini. This hotend kit can achieve a maximum temperature of 300 ºC.

The Revo Micro hotend is a compact and light hotend, allowing users to get more printing speed performance from their 3D printer. The Revo Micro hotend is adaptable to both direct and bowden extrusion systems, offering great compatibility with the vast majority of FDM 3D printers on the market. Since it is part of the E3D Revo system, the Revo Micro hotend makes it possible to change the nozzle at room temperature with bare hands, without the need for additional tools.

Revo Six hotend for Prusa i3 MK3

The hotend kit for the Prusa i3 MK3 printers consists of the Revo Six heatsink (1.75 mm, 24 V) and comes in two nozzle options: a single nozzle kit (0.4 mm brass Revo nozzle) or a fully loaded kit (0.25, 0.40, 0.60 and 0.80 mm brass Revo nozzles). Apart from the Revo Six heatsink (with an improved anodised black look), the E3D hotend kit for the Prusa MK3 printers contains a Revo HeaterCore (24 V), a spring, a Prusa-specific extension cable kit and a 100 mm PTFE tube. Similarly to the Prusa Mini option, this hotend kit can achieve a maximum temperature of 300 ºC.

As part of the E3D Revo ecosystem, the Revo Six hotend has been developed as an upgrade for the E3D V6 hotends. Revo Six hotend has the same height, the same diameter and the same groove mount as the V6 hotend and can replace the V6 hotend directly without any modifications. Revo Six uses Revo nozzles with the Rapid Change system, so the user can change the nozzle at room temperature with bare hands, without the need for additional tools.

The Revo Micro and Six hotends for Prusa Mini and MK3 both use the latest E3D hotend heating and sensing architecture, which guarantees improved performance over similar hotends on the market and traditional aluminum heat blocks. This results in the desired temperature being reached much faster, a much higher degree of safety, and a reduced the danger of thermal runaway.
