Filament with polyamide 6 y glass fiber, high tension modules and high temperature resistance.

The Ultrafuse PA6 GF30 is a 3D printing filament based on PA6 (Polyamide 6) reinforced with 30% glass fibers developed by BASF. It belongs to the BASF rich Ultrafuse portfolio of high quality technical filaments. The Ultrafuse PA6 GF30 is a material of high mechanical resistance, with resistance to wear, high resistance to chemicals and UV light. This combined with a high threshold of working temperatures (-20 ºC to 120 ºC) makes the Ultrafuse PA6 GF30 the ideal and most common material for manufacturing industrial tools that will be used in harsh environments.

But here the advantages of this material do not end. The incorporation of glass fibers makes the Ultrafuse PA6 GF30 easier to print than the PA6 (Polyamide 6) by itself, increases the bond between layers, reduces the warping effect between the parts and the base, and the absorption of moisture. All this translates into a smooth finish, continuous and with great dimensional stability, which together with the high level mechanical properties it presents, make this material the ideal for the vast majority of applications that every professional and industrial user desires.

A major of all the advanced advantages already mentioned is that the printing temperatures of Ultrafuse PA6 GF30 are accessible for any printers FDM of the market, with the extruder temperature of 240-280 ºC and the base temperature of 70-110 ºC. To ensure adhesion to the base, the use of a microperforated base, PEI sheet or Kapton Tape is recommended. With filaments containing glass fibers the nozzle wear is very pronounced and the use of a hardened steel nozzle or Nozzle Olsson Ruby is recommended. The Nozzle Olsson Ruby is the most resistant and highest quality 3D printing nozzle on the market thanks to its ruby tip integrated in a brass nozzle.

Ultrafuse PA6 GF30 is designed to make prototypes, functional parts and elements of high structural strength, such as electric tool housings (drill, radial, etc), control elements, parts for the transport sector (engine intake systems) of vehicles, tubes for refrigeration liquids), resistant and small applications (connectors of pneumatic systems), professional and leisure sports equipment.

PA6 GF30 Ultrafuse is a filament that contains fiberglass, an element that has as main qualities the resistance and the power to wear the elements that are in contact with it. For this reason it is very important to use high-performance nozzles (hardened steel nozzle). It's recommended to use the Olsson Ruby Nozzle to avoid 3D prints failed by rapid wear and obtain the highest quality finish offered by this filament, always with nozzle diameters equal to or greater than 0.6 mm.

To ensure the correct adhesion of the PA6 GF30 Ultrafuse to the base, it's recommended to use BuildTakDimaFixPrintaFix or Magigoo PA. In addition to this adhesive it has been developed exclusively for nylon filaments and can be used with a microperforated base, PEI sheets or Kapton Tape can be used. It must be ensured that the adhesion of the first layer is firm and strong to prevent it from peeling off during 3D printing.

Once a 3D printing is finished, the coil should be stored in its original bag and box, in a dust-free, dry environment with a stable temperature, with a filament drying capsule for even better results. If the filament absorbs too much moisture, it must be dried at 100 °C for at least 5 hours in a filament dryer.
