Original CreatBot spring nut kit (Spring Nut) used in the 3D printer CreatBot PEEK-300 and other models from the brand. This factory replacement combines a trapezoidal anti-backlash nut with a high-strength spring that eliminates play and maintains constant pressure on the Z-axis lead screw.

Thanks to its design, it prevents looseness that causes layer artifacts (layer shifting or banding) and ensures extremely precise and silent Z-axis movement even at chamber temperatures up to 200 °C. The spring automatically compensates for thermal expansion and wear, significantly prolonging the lifespan of the drive system and maintaining dimensional accuracy in large PEEK, PEKK, or carbon parts.

Direct replacement, installs in minutes, and is essential for preventive maintenance or when play is detected in the platform or lost steps in height.

The tension spring nut of the CreatBot PEEK‑300 is designed to maintain constant tension on a shaft or threaded rod, reducing mechanical play and ensuring repeatable and precise movements. The integrated spring applies constant pressure that compensates for minor variations or clearances, especially in positioning systems along axes or in filament holding mechanisms.

This type of component is typically used in areas where stable movement without “backlash” (play between threaded elements) is required, and proper installation and maintenance are necessary to preserve its effectiveness.

  • Verify compatibility: always install the spring nut specifically designed for the PEEK‑300, as the diameter, thread pitch, and spring length are adjusted for this model.
  • Correct installation: place the nut with the spring in its housing so that the spring is slightly compressed, avoiding it being loose or overly tight during assembly.
  • Tension check: after installation, manually move the shaft or associated mechanism to confirm uniform tension and that no perceptible play exists between parts.
  • Periodic maintenance: inspect the spring and nut during extended usage cycles to ensure there is no wear or deformation that could cause tension variations.
  • Light lubrication: applying low-friction lubricant to the threaded surface can help maintain smooth movement and reduce wear in high-cycle applications.
  • Replacement when necessary: a fatigued spring can lose effectiveness; replacing the tension spring nut when constant tension is not maintained improves overall shaft or mechanism precision.
