Slice 300°C Thermistor
In its quest to offer the highest quality components, Slice Engineering has added the 300 ºC thermistor to its catalogue.
This thermistor allows the user to 3D print with standard materials such as PLA and ABS as well as engineering plastics (PC, PP, PA, PET, TPU/TPE, ASA, HiPS, PVA). This thermistor, however, is not suitable for advanced plastics with processing temperatures above 300°C, such as materials from the PAEK family.
The 300°C thermistor is compatible with most standard 3D printers thanks to the 3 mm connector and the 2 m long cable. It is also compatible with most 3D printer firmware, including Marlin and Duet.
Since the thermistor is shorter than the thermistor slot, a dowel pin is included with the 300°C thermistor. Its function is to fill the extra space in the slot of the temperature sensor in the heatblock and ensure that the thermistor is held in place.
It should be kept in mind that the installation of a new thermistor may require changes in the firmware settings (an update of the RT table). If a 3D printer does not allow firmware updates, the thermistor will not work. See the Download section for the RT table.
For best results, the Slice Engineering 300 ºC thermistor should be used with the thermal boron nitride paste in order to reduce the risk of shorting out the thermistor or thermistor by improving conductivity.
High quality thermistor for materials with a processing temperature of up to 300 ºC.
