The PLA Lite ReFill filament from The Filament redefines reliability standards in 3D printing, combining professional performance with a sustainable and minimalist approach. Designed to deliver consistent results and stable extrusion, this material is the ideal choice for those seeking clean, precise, and hassle-free prints in a more eco-friendly and cost-effective format.

Each unit of PLA Lite ReFill comes wound on an eco-friendly cardboard core, fully compatible with BambuLab reusable spools. Thanks to this design, there’s no need for adapters or additional plastic parts. If you don’t have a BambuLab reusable spool, you can easily download and print a spool model directly from The Filament’s website, ensuring a smooth and convenient user experience.

Professional performance in a sustainable format

PLA Lite ReFill retains all the key qualities that have made PLA Lite a trusted filament: smooth extrusion, thermal consistency, and dependable performance. Its optimized formulation provides a flawless surface finish, excellent layer adhesion, and repeatable results across both professional and educational projects.

Its outstanding price-to-performance ratio makes it ideal for everyday use, including prototypes, functional parts, and detailed models. PLA Lite ReFill ensures a stable 3D printing experience—free from jams or surprises—while maintaining the same quality and reliability as the original version, now in a more environmentally responsible format.

Less plastic, more awareness

Committed to sustainability, PLA Lite ReFill significantly reduces plastic use by featuring a recyclable cardboard core instead of a traditional plastic spool. Manufactured in Europe under strict quality control, it combines an efficient and responsible production process with a precise diameter tolerance that guarantees consistent material flow throughout the print.

This ReFill version represents a step forward toward more sustainable 3D printing—without compromising on the reliability, stability, and quality that define The Filament’s PLA Lite range.

Print more, waste less

PLA Lite ReFill delivers the same technical performance and consistency as the original PLA Lite, now in a format that promotes reuse and waste reduction. Available in a range of classic colors and made in Europe, it’s the perfect choice for users who value efficiency, reliability, and environmental responsibility.

With PLA Lite ReFill, you can continue to enjoy precise, stable, and high-quality 3D prints while actively contributing to a more sustainable and responsible approach to 3D printing.

The PLA Lite filament 1.75 mm has been developed to offer simple, stable, and high-quality printing on any FDM 3D printer. To achieve a professional finish and excellent layer adhesion, it is recommended to carefully adjust the printing parameters according to the material’s technical specifications.

Ideal printing temperature

The recommended nozzle temperature is between 195 and 220 °C, depending on the type of 3D printer and the level of model detail. A lower temperature promotes a better surface finish on small parts, while settings closer to 220 °C ensure more stable extrusion on large-volume prints.

Bed temperature and adhesion

For optimal adhesion, the heated bed should be maintained between 40 and 50 °C. Although this filament offers excellent grip on clean glass or PEI surfaces, adhesion can be further improved using specialized adhesives such as Dimafix, 3DLac or Magigoo, especially on large or wide-base prints. These products help prevent warping and ensure perfect bed adhesion throughout the printing process.

Printing speed and cooling

PLA Lite allows working with a wide printing speed range between 40 and 250 mm/s, making it a versatile filament suitable for both rapid prototyping and high-precision models. For best results on fine details or complex geometries, it is recommended to print at moderate speeds and keep the layer fan active up to 100% to ensure uniform cooling and superior surface quality.

Environment and maintenance

PLA Lite does not require a closed chamber, simplifying its use in home and educational environments. Its heat resistance reaches 55 °C, making it suitable for most standard 3D printing applications. Additionally, it does not require pre-drying, as it has low moisture absorption. It is advisable to store the filament in a dry, shaded place to maintain its quality over time.

Compatibility and durability

With a density of 1.24 g/cm³ and manufacturing compliant with RoHS and REACH standards, this filament guarantees a safe and reliable printing experience. It does not require ruby or hardened nozzles, since its non-abrasive composition is fully compatible with standard brass nozzles, ensuring long equipment life without premature wear.
