The ReFill filaments from The Filament line are designed with both user convenience and environmental sustainability in mind. Wound on an eco-friendly cardboard core, they are fully compatible with Bambu Lab printer spools, eliminating the need for additional adapters. This spoolless solution helps reduce plastic waste while supporting sustainable 3D printing practices. For those without a Bambu Lab spool, a printable spool model is available for download in the Attachments section, ensuring seamless compatibility.

Offered in a wide range of vibrant colors, the PLA ReFill filament inspires diverse creative and technical projects. This PLA is also available in a standard spool format for added versatility. PLA (Polylactic Acid) is an eco-friendly thermoplastic made from renewable sources like corn starch or sugarcane. Its popularity in the 3D printing industry stems from its ease of use, minimal warping, and biodegradable properties. With exceptional dimensional stability and a smooth surface finish, PLA is well-suited for both functional prototypes and decorative projects.

PLA filament from The Filament is easy to work with, featuring a recommended printing temperature range of 185-215 ºC and a heated print bed requirement of 40-50 ºC. Printing speeds between 40-150 mm/s ensure flexibility in project execution. If a high-speed PLA is needed, please see the PLA HS from The Filament. Additionally, a heated build chamber is not required, making it suitable for a variety of 3D printing setups.

Like any 3D printing filament, the The Filament filaments should be stored properly in order to avoid their deterioration and, in consequence, extrusion problems and inferior print quality. The spool can be stored in an airtight plastic bag, in a resealable bag with a desiccant capsule, or in a smart filament container. If the filament has absorbed too much moisture, it must be dried before printing in a filament dryer at 40-50 ºC for about 6 hours.

In order to ensure smooth printing and optimal part quality, the filaments from the The Filament line should be printed in accordance with the settings recommended by the manufacturer in the filaments' technical datasheets.

Adhesion

The filaments from the The Filament line are characterized by ease of printing and great adhesion. Nevertheless, if increased adhesion is needed to prevent warping, adhesion products such as Magigoo, 3DLac or Dimafix are recommended.

Abrasive filament

The PLA CF and PETG CF filaments contain abrasive carbon fibers. This is why it is best to print these materials with a hardened nozzle with a diameter of minimum 0.4 mm to avoid clogging and excessive nozzle wear, and to obtain high quality parts.

Refill format

The filaments that come in Refill format are wound onto an eco-friendly cardboard core which makes them compatible with BambuLab reusable spools. Apart from that, the Refill format is compatible with the Spectrum Refill spools, as well as other adjustable spool holders.
