These PLA pellets by Kai Parthy are an FGF 3D printing material to be used for direct extrusion or filament production. The Kai Parthy PLA pellets have a clear color and are made from the Ingeo 4032 PLA as the base material. The PLA pellets have a tensile strength of 47 MPa and a heat deflection temperature of 56 ºC.

One of the benefits of PLA pellets is that they are a biosourced material that is easy to print and safe to print. Furthermore, PLA has a naturally glossy finish, suitable for decorative applications. Parts 3D printed with PLA can also be easily post-processed (e.g. painted or dyed) or colorants can be added directly to the Kai Parthy pellets to achieve personalized colors.

The pellets have a powdery appearance due to their small particle size

A unique feature of this material is the very small particle size of 0.05-0.30 mm, which makes the pellets look like powder. Nevertheless, these PLA pellets are meant for FGF 3D printing and cannot be used on SLS 3D printing equipment at the risk of damaging the SLS 3D printer.

The best equipment for the processing of the Kai Parthy PLA pellets is the Mahor V4 pellet extruder or the Tumaker 3D printers for direct extrusion. It is also possible to make filament from the PLA pellets with the help of the Felfil EVO extruder.

It is very important to store PLA pellets in an airtight bag to prevent them from absorbing moisture from the environment before use. If the pellets have moisture in them, the resulting parts or filament may contain small imperfections. Once the filament has been manufactured using PLA pellets, it is also recommended to store the filament properly.
