The Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament is a technical material reinforced with 15% carbon fiber, designed to offer the perfect balance between rigidity, lightness, dimensional stability, and thermal resistance. Its PET copolyester base combined with high-performance carbon fibers makes this filament an ideal choice for those seeking functional and durable parts with professional finishes.

Industrial-Level Mechanical and Thermal Performance

Thanks to its advanced formulation, Bedrock 3D PET CF15 provides exceptional mechanical strength and outstanding dimensional stability, even in environments with thermal variations or chemical exposure. It withstands working temperatures up to 74°C and has low moisture absorption, making it a reliable material for demanding industrial applications.

This combination of properties enables printing parts that maintain their shape and precision over time, from functional prototypes to end-use components in sectors such as engineering, automotive, or robotics.

Advantages of Carbon Fiber Reinforcement

The carbon fibers included in Bedrock 3D PET CF15 enhance the material’s structural rigidity without significantly increasing its weight. This results in stronger, lighter, and more dimensionally stable parts with excellent chemical and thermal resistance. In addition, the carbon fibers provide better bed adhesion and reduce warping deformation, ensuring precise and failure-free printing.

The filament can be printed directly on glass or PEI sheets and combined with support materials such as HIPS or water-soluble supports to create complex geometries with superior surface finish.

High Speed and Recommended Support Materials

Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament maintains excellent print quality even at high extrusion speeds. For creating parts with complex structures, it can be combined with Xioneer VXL 90 water-soluble support material, which ensures a smooth printing process and fast, precise post-processing.

Technical Applications of Bedrock 3D PET CF15

Thanks to its balance between strength, stiffness, and printability, Bedrock 3D PET CF15 is ideal for industrial prototypes, structural parts, mechanical components, and technical enclosures. Its low weight and high stability also make it perfect for aluminum replacement applications in lightweight parts that require thermal and dimensional resistance.

Conclusion: Professional Performance with Hassle-Free Printing

Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament stands out as one of the best engineering-grade carbon fiber-reinforced filaments on the market. Its combination of strength, stability, precision, and excellent surface finish makes it the perfect choice for anyone seeking professional results and industrial-grade durability in their 3D printing projects. With Bedrock 3D, every printed part reflects maximum quality and technical performance.

The Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament is a high-performance engineering material reinforced with 15% carbon fiber, designed to deliver precise, strong prints with a professional finish. To maintain its quality and performance, it is essential to follow the recommended storage and optimal printing parameters.

Proper storage of Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament

The Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament should be stored between 15 and 25 °C in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment to prevent moisture absorption and ensure stable printing results. Ideally, store it in its original packaging or in a vacuum-sealed bag along with a filament desiccant capsule inside the spool.

For more professional storage, it is recommended to use a PrintDry smart filament container before and after printing, and a filament drying device during printing. If the material has absorbed moisture, it should be dried in an oven or hot-air dryer for 4 to 16 hours at 65 °C to restore its original properties.

Recommended print surface and adhesion

For maximum precision and to prevent warping, the best print surface for Bedrock 3D PET CF15 filament is a glass bed or PEI sheet. Heat the bed to 65–85 °C and extrude the filament between 250–270 °C at speeds of 30–80 mm/s.

Thanks to its low warping and excellent adhesion, no heated chamber is required, making it a technically easy-to-process filament even on mid-range 3D printers.

Recommended nozzles for maximum durability

Although Bedrock 3D PET CF15 is moderately abrasive, using a hardened steel nozzle or a ruby-tipped nozzle is recommended to extend the extruder lifespan and maintain consistent extrusion. You can use a Dyze hardened steel nozzle or a Olsson Ruby nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.6 mm.

Recommended printing parameters

  • Nozzle temperature: 250–270 °C
  • Bed temperature: 65–85 °C
  • Printing chamber: not required
  • Print speed: 30–350** mm/s
  • Nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.6 mm
  • Print surface: glass or PEI sheet

**To achieve higher print speeds, it may be necessary to slightly increase the nozzle temperature. The maximum speed mentioned has been determined through our latest tests, ensuring optimal surface quality using a 0.4 mm nozzle and a 0.2 mm layer height. As 3D printing technology and equipment evolve, even higher speeds may be possible in the future.
