The Matte PETG filament from Fiberlogy is a 1.75 mm diameter filament available in 850 g spools and in several colors, such as black, gray, graphite, white, blue, and red. This PETG filament stands out for its matte finish, which hides layer lines and gives printed parts a refined and professional appearance. The matte effect enhances the visual quality of the prints, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a sleek finish with the durability and strength characteristic of PETG, such as its high chemical resistance.

Vases printed with Matte PETG filament

The Matte PETG filament is known for its ease of use, as it has very low shrinkage and low susceptibility to stringing. This filament does not require a printer with a heated chamber, but it does require higher extrusion temperatures, between 260 °C and 280 °C, and a heated bed at 90 ºC. Matte PETG filament offers high printing speed (max. 100 mm/s) without compromising the final results’ quality. This makes it compatible with 3D printers like the Bambu Lab X1C, P1S, P1P, A1 and A1 Mini designed to handle high printing speeds.

The Matte PETG filament allows creating resistant and durable prints, as well as having an elegant aesthetic. These features make Matte PETG filament an ideal choice for projects where both aesthetics and strength are essential – for creating decorations, such as interior design elements, figures, ornaments, vases; for creating costume elements, like cosplay accessories, and for creating other objects like toys, desk organizers, or even phone stands or jewelry displays.

To prevent moisture absorption, Matte PETG should be stored in a dry, sealed plastic bag with a filament desiccant capsule or in a hermetic container. Filament dryers are recommended during printing, and if necessary, drying the Matte PETG filament before printing (at 60 ºC for 4 hours) will ensure optimal print quality.

It is advisable to increase the number of perimeters and infill in the settings to achieve the best results. Additionally, it is recommended to maintain a bed temperature of 90 °C and have the fan set between 0 and 25% of its capacity. The print speed should not exceed 100 mm/s, and a closed chamber is not necessary.

Due to the strong adhesion of Matte PETG filament, it is not recommended to print directly on the bed or glass surface as it may damage it. It is recommended to use a bed adhesion solution, such as adhesive tape or adhesive glue.
