Natural NylonStrong filament (1.75mm or 2,85mm) is a Polyamide 6 (PA6) reinforced with fillers consisting of a high thermal resistance, and mechanical abrasion.

Unlike other nylon filaments currently available in the market, this filament NylonStrong Natural (1.75mm or 2,85mm) is a very hard filament. Being a very hard nylon is ideal for industrial applications where high mechanical properties of strength, impact resistance or withstand high temperatures needed.

Polyamide 6 (PA6) is the most common extruded polyamide. Stresses in the industry to provide good damping properties and impact resistance and good toughness at low temperatures. It is ideal for example for bearings and gears as they would work silently. Smartfil NylonStrong filament is designed to obtain the best results in 3D printing with nylon filament, as most nylon filament have a high warping effect.

It is also the rigid material capable of supporting up to 210 °C (softening temperature) which opens a huge opportunity for manufacturing industrial parts using 3D printing FDM / FFF. Besides the NylonStrong filament is designed to print a range similar to other nylon filaments temperatures. (± 250).

It is advisable to use a hardened steel nozzle or Olsson Ruby since the carbon fiber is quite abrasive and wears the brass nozzles.

Smartfil NylonStrong filament is designed with the purpose of reducing the warping effect, but still highly recommended to follow a certain usage tips.

Raft use is recommend to remove any contractions in the part print. It is also advisable Brim schedule, although it will be less effect and minimal occurrence of warping in the base may occur depending on the part geometry.

To ensure the correct adhesion of the NylonStrong to the base, it's recommended to use BuildTakDimaFixPrintaFix or Magigoo PA. In addition to this adhesive it has been developed exclusively for nylon filaments and can be used with a microperforated base, PEI sheets or Kapton Tape can be used. It must be ensured that the adhesion of the first layer is firm and strong to prevent it from peeling off during 3D printing.

After the printing of the piece, if it comes off too fast from base may contractions occur in the base of the piece due to the sudden change in temperature. Because of this it is advisable to use the 5x5 rule consisting finish printing just after lowering the temperature of the hot bed 5 and be at that temperature 5 minutes. After this period, again perform the same operation until the temperature of the base is about 50 ºC so we can take off the final piece without permanent deformation occurring.

Finally, don´t print with a height of less than 0.1mm layer as due to the loads of the material, may seal the extruder occur if this is very small diameter. Anywaywe recommend using filament cleaning when printing with this filament.
