After years of development and updates of Mosaic Pallete, coinciding with the launch of the Palette 3 and Palette 3Pro version, Mosaic Manufacturing, a manufacturer focused on the development of advanced products and accessories for FDM 3D printing, launches the first FDM 3D printer with the capacity to print up to 8 different materials simultaneously and automated.

It is common to find 3D printers on the market with dual extruders, which allow two materials to be printed simultaneously. However, in many cases, having two extruders reduces the usable print volume of the machines and, in some cases, it is difficult to avoid leaving residues of both materials on the part.

Taking Palette as its starting point, Mosaic Manufacturing has developed an FDM 3D printer with integrated Palette X, Mosaic's patented system that allows up to 8 rigid materials, flexible materials, support filaments and more to be combined. With a single printhead, Element has the full print volume and, thanks to Mosaic's extrusion and splicing system, there is no waste and no leftover material on the part.

Element has an all-metal structure and components of the highest quality. One of the most outstanding features is its large printing volume (350x350x350 mm), perfect to cover a multitude of projects and applications for different professional sectors.

Its maximum printing temperature of 300 ºC and its hot bed, which reaches 120 ºC, allow the 3D printing of a multitude of materials.

Element also features a closed construction chamber and integrated HEPA filter to remove all possible odours and harmful particles generated during the printing of certain materials.

In terms of connectivity, Element has built-in Wi-Fi, perfect for transferring files and initiating 3D prints from your computer. Wifi connectivity simplifies file management and print workflow to ensure the smoothest possible printing experience.

Multi-material 3D printing

Element stands out for its ability to 3D print with up to 8 materials simultaneously. This 3D printing functionality stems from Mosaic Manufacturing's patented Palette X technology, also found in Palette 3Pro.

Multi-material 3D printing is incredibly useful for a multitude of industries when it comes to 3D printing parts. Some examples are:

  • Complex parts with supporting material.
  • Engineering models/prototypes.
  • Architectural models.
  • Serial parts.

Automated filament management

With this innovative development, Element becomes a multi-material FDM 3D printer with which the user can access and combine different materials in an automated way, for a more user-friendly experience.

Material handling and material changeover are two of the most inefficient parts of the 3D printing process. Between preheating, swapping and extrusion, a lot of time is wasted unnecessarily.

Element eliminates these actions from the 3D printing process by managing your filament library in a fully automated way. Element works with Mosaic's reusable Material Pods.

Material Pods are intelligent containers that keep the filament dry by controlling the conditions inside. In addition, they automate material loading with a built-in motor. This process ensures an incredibly simple workflow and allows you to manage your material library intuitively.

To operate, simply place the material inside the Material Pods, insert the Pod into the side of the Element 3D printer, and the Element 3D printer will do the rest.

Canvas

To complement Element's incredible performance, users can rely on Canvas, a free lamination software that makes print preparation easy, as well as 3D print management in the cloud, saving time, material and money.

Canvas interface

The options offered by Canvas include:

  • Customise: Includes painting and stamping tools, allowing users to customise their 3D models for multi-colour and multi-material 3D printing.
  • Store: Allows the organisation, storage and sharing of 3D models, Gcode files and print settings through a simple and intuitive interface.
  • Laminate: Provides tools for a simple lamination process, with 3D printer and material presets, but also allows importing custom settings.

Canvas is the place to control and monitor Element. Thanks to the integrated camera for remote monitoring, Element allows you to check the status of your 3D printing jobs.

For all these reasons, Element is an innovative FDM 3D printer, perfect for professional use due to its features and the possibility of using up to 8 different materials in the same print.
