The xPRO9400-FR resin is a groundbreaking product developed through a collaboration between Nexa3D and BASF ForwardAM, poised to redefine the landscape of flame retardant 3D printing materials. This resin sets a new standard with its high-throughput flame retardant properties, making it an ideal choice for applications where safety is paramount. Designed with a UL 94 V-0 rating and a halogen-free composition, it ensures unparalleled protection in flame-prone environments while aligning with modern sustainability goals.

But the xPRO9400-FR doesn't stop there. Its low viscosity facilitates seamless handling and processing, streamlining production processes and reducing downtime. From automotive and aerospace parts to jigs and fixtures for electronics handling and assembly, the xPRO9400-FR resin is the ultimate solution for high-performance 3D printing applications.
To prevent crystallization and solidification over extended storage, particularly in colder environments, it's necessary to preheat the Nexa3D xPRO9400-FR resin prior to printing for 5 hours at 40 ºC. Parts 3D printed with the Nexa 3D xPRO9400-FR resin will achieve their specific properties only after being subjected to post-processing by washing and curing. If applicable, the support structures must be removed from the part before curing and the part must be washed. Nexa3D recommends using xClean (max. 2 minutes) followed by IPA alcohol (max. 5 minutes).
Once washed, the parts 3D printed with the xPRO9400-FR resin must be dried and then cured either with the help of an LED or wide spectrum lamp, or in the Nexa 3D Wash+Cure station developed especially for the washing and curing of parts 3D printed on the XiP 3D printer. The recommended washing, drying and curing times can be consulted on the manufacturer's website for each Nexa 3D resin. After the post-curing, parts 3D printed with the xPRO9400-FR resin can be subjected to an additional thermal treatment. The instructions can be found in the product's Technical Datasheet in the Downloads section.
Certain precautions must be taken when working with 3D printing resins. The user must ensure that the working space is adequately ventilated, and that protective goggles, gloves and garments are worn at all times. The xPRO9400-FR resin should be stored in a tightly closed container/resin vat to avoid resin deterioration due to UV exposure. The container/vat should be kept in a cool, well ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame.
