The Continuous Feeding System (CFS) is an industrial solution developed by WASP specifically for the additive deposition of fluid-dense materials, designed to operate continuously by eliminating the capacity limitations of conventional tanks. Instead of a fixed-size reservoir, the system incorporates an uninterrupted feeding mechanism, allowing sustained printing without stopping the material flow.

The system is prepared for a wide range of professional applications, especially in the ceramic sector, as it allows the handling of high-viscosity mixtures, refractory materials, porcelain, or stoneware with a flow rate of up to 30 kg/h and a nominal capacity of only 11 liters in its main tank, thanks to its continuous feeding system.

Compatibility and adaptability: the CFS is optimized for the WASP Delta WASP 40100 Clay printer, although it can be adapted to other 3D printers by including specific electrical and connection configurations. The system supports transport screw speed control synchronized with the extruder, allowing the flow rate to be adjusted without stopping production.

Technical design and materials: all components in contact with the wet material are made of stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. The system allows degassing of the material while mixing, eliminating bubble formation that could compromise the flow consistency and print quality.

Installation and operation: the system connects to the WASP LDM XL 3.0 extruder via a PTFE/INOX tube, includes a rotating support, connection wiring, and is configured to operate in a professional production environment. It is essential that the user follows installation, leveling, and synchronization instructions to ensure optimal performance.

Conclusion: the WASP Continuous Feeding System represents an advanced technical solution for industrial 3D printing with dense materials, increasing production efficiency, process repeatability, and the ability to print without interruptions in demanding environments.

Check that the system is installed on a level and stable surface, and properly positioned in relation to the printer (for example, the Delta WASP 40100 Clay) to ensure smooth material transport.

Use pre-prepared mixtures of clay, porcelain, refractory, or other dense-fluid materials, ensuring that the consistency is suitable for continuous extrusion (the CFS allows material to be added even during the printing process).

Take advantage of the CFS automatic degassing function: the upper mixer removes air bubbles to achieve a homogeneous flow, preventing defects or interruptions caused by trapped air.

Ensure that the connection tube (PTFE/INOX) between the CFS and the extruder is securely fixed, without leaks or twists, to maintain a constant and uninterrupted feed.

Utilize synchronization between the CFS feed screw and the extruder (speeds controlled via LCD and, in compatible printers, through G-code) to prevent flow imbalances or feeding when the extruder stops.

For more viscous materials or those with denser loads, the CFS increases performance compared to traditional tanks: it is recommended to adjust feed rate and nozzle diameter (e.g., 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm) according to the mixture and part geometry.

Establish an appropriate operating environment: ambient temperature between 15 °C and 30 °C, with system storage between 0–30 °C, to ensure mechanical stability and material quality.

Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the system: all areas in contact with wet material are made of stainless steel and can be disassembled for cleaning, facilitating material changes and avoiding cross-contamination.

Verify the compatibility of the extruder and feeding hose: the CFS is designed to connect to the WASP LDM XL 3.0 extruder with a special flange, so ensure the printer has the required electrical and mechanical connections.
