The advanced silicone for LAM 3D printing SIL-002 is an industrial-grade material designed by Lynxter for applications where superior technical properties are required. With a bi-component formulation that combines the mechanical resistance of an LSR elastomer and the ease of handling of an RTV-2, it offers room temperature curing with precise and consistent results. Its ability to withstand extreme temperatures, from –50 °C to 250 °C, makes this compound a reliable solution for environments where thermal resistance is crucial.

With a hardness of 68–70 Shore A, this silicone for 3D printing provides the right balance between flexibility and rigidity, ideal for designing sealing gaskets, flexible prototypes, and technical parts that require high resilience. The 1:1 mixing ratio formulation ensures ease of use in extrusion equipment, which optimizes additive manufacturing processes without compromising finishing quality.

The mechanical performance of SIL-002 silicone stands out for its tensile strength of 11.86 MPa and an elongation at break of 274%, which makes it a high-level technical elastomer. Thanks to these characteristics, it can be used in critical applications such as soft robotics, damping parts, anti-slip elements, and urgent maintenance solutions. Its high resilience guarantees an effective rebound, while UV resistance and its high electrical resistance with low dielectric loss make it a durable material even in demanding environmental conditions.

The packaging in 55 g syringes and 850 g cartridges facilitates integration into production processes, offering versatility for prototypes and large-scale production. The black color reinforces the professional aesthetic of the printed parts, maintaining uniformity in functional and industrial applications. Furthermore, this material, manufactured in France, ensures high-quality standards in every 3D print.

The combination of thermal resistance, advanced electrical properties, UV resistance, and ease of use positions Lynxter SIL-002 silicone as a benchmark for industrial 3D printing materials. Its ability to adapt to demanding applications ensures reliable and durable parts, consolidating it as a high-performance solution for those seeking to optimize every additive manufacturing project with a state-of-the-art technical silicone.

What's in the package:

Syringe: 1x 55 g + 1x 55 g

Cartridge: 1x 850 g + 1x 850 g

Before loading the material into the printer, it is recommended to clean the LIQ21 pumps with isopropyl alcohol to avoid cross-contamination. Once prepared, install the syringes with an air pressure of approximately 4 bar and load the material into the system.

To ensure correct operation, it is necessary to install the corresponding macro files for SIL-002. The software update is essential to unlock the appropriate retraction and speed parameters. In case of using CONTROL.V2, it must be switched to version V1 through debug mode to ensure compatibility.

Within the settings, it is necessary to create a specific directory named LIQ21_SIL-002 in the materials folder, load the compressed macro files, and rename the file “2-Load mixer_nozzle.g” to “2-Load mixer&nozzle.g”. This procedure allows proper integration of the material into the printer.

The printing profile available in Simplify3D, identified as “S300X_LIQ21-LIQ11-100_SIL-002_SUP-001_LYX_S3D-500_v0.0.3”, is in beta stage, so it may require additional adjustments depending on the configuration. Nozzles of 0.34 mm and 0.56 mm deliver very good results, especially in parts with complex geometries, large support volumes, or fine details with high resolution.

The SIL-002 has a longer working time compared to other compounds such as SIL-001, which facilitates its application in sealing joints, waterproof parts, and components that require high hardness. After printing, it is recommended to let the parts cure overnight at room temperature (20–25 °C) and then for one hour at 60 °C to optimize their mechanical properties. The final curing time may vary depending on the thickness of the parts and environmental conditions.

This material is still in the validation stage, so curing times and results may vary. It is recommended to perform preliminary tests to confirm performance in each specific use case.
