Orbi-Tech: German quality

Orbi-Tech is a German filament manufacturer based in Cologne. Its development team consists of highly qualified and experienced staff in polymers, specialized in filaments for 3D printing. It has very high manufacturing standards, ensuring that all stages of filament production are controlled in detail.

One of its major concerns is the geometric precision, since with the current 3D printers bowden type, with long tubes between the extruder and the HotEnd, it is key that the deviation of the diameter of the filament is minimal to avoid an excessive friction between the tube and the filament. In addition, Orbi-Tech also controls exhaustively the winding of its filaments.

Filaments that solve problems

In 3D prints certain situations can occur where the pieces tends to detach from the base due to the geometry of the base itself or other situations where a soluble support material is needed. For these and many other cases, Orbi-Tech has a filament to solve each problem.

The filament PLA-ZERO WARP (PLA-45) is designed for the realization of large pieces, with many hours of printing, which could have a warping effect. Its HiPS filaments have properties similar to ABS and are ideal to combine with it as a support material, since it is diluted in D-Limonene.

Industrial filaments

Within its range of filaments, Orbi-Tech has various industrial materials, such as PC and BendLay. The PC is a thermoplastic widely used in the industry for being a very rigid material and with high resistance to impacts, fire and temperature. The BendLay is a filament manufactured from Butadiene, a component that provides strength and flexibility. In addition, it looks similar to polycarbonate and, therefore, semi-transparent.
