Braskem is a globally renowned market leader in the manufacturing of chemicals and plastics, with a rich range of products for additive manufacturing, including 3D printing filaments carefully engineered for specialized applications. One of the materials from the Braskem catalog is the FL600EVA-BIO filament, part of the "I'm green" line of products. It is a flexible bio-based EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) material whose main component is raw sugar cane. This gives the FL600EVA-BIO filament a low carbon footprint and makes it a more eco-friendly alternative to standard flexible filaments available on the 3D printing market.

Parts 3D printed with the FL600EVA-BIO filament are characterized by an excellent surface finish, and good ductulity and flexibility, the material itself having a Shore hardness of 94 A and an elongation at break of over 500 %. Furthermore, FL600EVA-BIO is a low-density and lightweight material with excellent moisture resistance and chemical resistance. The filament does not require pre-drying or a heated chamber, and it prints smoothly, with low warpage, and great adhesion. It should be kept in mind that the best extrusion system for this filament is a direct drive extruder due to this material's flexibility.

Thanks to its great printability, as well as excellent mechanical and chemical properties, and outstanding behavior in demanding conditions, parts 3D printed with the Braskem FL600EVA-BIO filament have a wide range of potential applications, for example in packaging, consumer goods, fashion or in the industrial sector. The FL600EVA-BIO filament is the perfect material for rapid prototyping and mass customization, especially for parts that need to be light and flexible.

The spool should be stored properly to avoid potential printing and part quality issues. It is recommended to store the spool in a tightly sealed plastic bag with a desiccant or in an intelligent filament container

This material should be printed at a temperature of 220-250 ºC on a bed heated to 20-40 ºC. A heated chamber is not required, the best fan speed is 50-100 % and the optimal printing speed is 20-40 mm/s.
