The ASA Extrafill material from Filamentum is an ASA filament (Acrylate Styrene Acrylonitrile), a thermoplastic that combines mechanical strength and resistance to UV rays, water resistance and great finish (doesn't yellow with the passage of time). It is therefore suitable for durable finishes for machinery or prototypes in the automotive industry, or to make parts that will maintain the shape and color over time in outdoor use.

ASA filament is more waterproof, more rigid and much easier to print than ABS, with virtually no warping effect. Furthermore the ASA filament can be used in combination with soluble support materials to easily remove them. The ASA Extrafill filament has a high dimensional stability and good chemical resistance, engineered with the intention of creating an alternative to ABS but with better weather resistance.

ASA Extrafill, available in diameters of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm and spools of 750 g and 2.5 kg, comes from the Extrafill line of filaments, a group of premium quality materials for 3D printing. With strict control throughout the manufacturing process, the Extrafill filaments boast a diameter tolerance of ± 0.05 mm, exceptional roundness, and absence of chemical impurities, resulting in superior filament viscosity.

Additionally, the filament is perfectly wound on the spool, preventing printing issues caused by overlapping or winding. Another feature enhancing the premium quality of this filament is its packaging in a resealable bag, protecting it from moisture and UV rays. Thus, ASA Extrafill filament offers high-quality 3D printing, fully stabilized for excellent finishes with maximum reliability and ease of use.

It should be kept in mind that ASA filament generates toxic fumes when printing. This is why it is very important to print in a place with good ventilation to ensure user safety. More 3D printing tips can be found in the Attachments section, in the Manual document.
