Support for the 3NTR ABS, ASA, TPU and PA filaments. Requires a mild alkaline solution.

The fabrication of complex structures and geometries can pose a challenge in FDM 3D printing due to the limitations of the angles that can be produced. The solution to this problem is to use a support filament.

There are countless support filaments available on the 3D printing market, and they can be either soluble or breakaway materials. The 3NTR SSU09 support filament is a support material soluble in a mild alkaline solution and it is intended to be used with is intended to be used with thermoplastics with medium glass transition temperatures, such as the ABS, ASA, PC-ABS, TPU and PA filaments by 3NTR.

The SSU09 support filament can be dissolved in a mild alkaline solution created with the 3NTR Wave powder. After removing the supports in that bath, the final piece will be clean and smooth, without any support material leftovers. The SSU09 is characterized by strong adhesion, high melt stability and temperature resistance.

3D printing with support filaments requires the use of a 3D printer with at least 2 extruders. Fortunately, all the 3NTR printers all come with 3 (3NTR-A2 and 3NTR-A4) or 4 extruders (Spectral 30). This feature allows the user to manufacture complex structures, including with more than 1 material from the 3NTR product range.

The SSU09 support filament makes it possible for users from many industries to quickly, easily and affordably manufacture complex parts with advanced technical properties with the help of additive manufacturing.

No adhesion improving products need to be used with the SSU09 support material. The printing bases of all the 3NTR 3D printers are made of a material containing carbon and glass fibers, which ensures optimal adhesion of the 3NTR filaments to the building base.

This filament should be protected from the damaging effects of humidity. It can be done by storing the SSU09 filament in a dry place, such as a drying unit before and after printing. The recommended drying equipment is the Vento drying unit or the Storm modular drying unit by 3NTR.
