Liqcreate Resin Cleaner
The Resin Cleaner is a resin cleaning solution developed by Liqcreate for their 3D printing resins. This non-toxic and non-flammable Resin Cleaner has no unpleasant smell and it leaves no residue, crakcs or white haze on the cleaned parts. It can be used with ultrasonic cleaners and it has shown to clean faster than other cleaner liquids based on IPA, bio-ethanol and other chemicals.
The Liqcreate Resin Cleaner was designed to clean 3D printed parts, resin platforms, instruments and surfaces (spills) within the SLA, DLP and MSLA/LCD technologies (385 – 420 nm light source). It must be kept in mind that surfaces, tools and objects made of ABS or polystyrene polymer cannot be cleaned with the Liqcreate Resin Cleaner, otherwise they will become brittle or softer. This also applies to ultrasonic cleaners with parts made of ABS.
One of the advantages of the Liqcreate Resin Cleaner is that it can be used several times without refilling or filtering, which means it is an economic and sustainable cleaning solution. Nevertheless, it is recommended to use separate buckets for prewashing, first wash and second wash in order to ensure maximum quality of the cleaned parts.
The Liqcreate Resin Cleaner is adequate for the cleaning of parts 3D printed with resin (SLA, DLP, LCD/MSLA), resin platforms, surfaces (e.g., spills) and tools used in the resin 3D printing workflow. The Resin Cleaner can also be used with ultrasonic cleaners and reused several times without refilling or filtering. The recommended washing procedures are shown in Image 1:
Although the Liqcreate Resin Cleaner can be reused, it is recommended to use two separate buckets for the first and the second cleaning, as well as a pre-wash container. This will make the Resin Cleaner last longer and it will ensure great surface finish of the 3D printed parts. The Liqcreate Resin Cleaner should never be diluted with water.
The Liqcreate Resin Cleaner should be stored in temperatures between 5-30 ºC in a closed container, in a dark and dry place. It is recommended to use gloves, face protection and protective clothing when handling the Resin Cleaner and in case of skin contact, it is enough to clean the skin with water and soap. The used Resin Cleaner (contaminated with resin) should be treated as chemical waste and disposed of it as such while the empty Resin Cleaner bottle can be disposed for plastic recycling.
